He's unemployed, and taking unemployment checks from the government.
So? I've been unemployed and had massive savings in the past. And if he is entitled to unemployment checks, he should take them.
Don't worry, I don't really think you are a racist, but I think a lot of this hub-bub wouldn't be in the news if he was a white man.
Ambush interviews? Questions like "How did you campaign?" and "Do you have a campaign staff?" and "Where did you get the 10,000 dollars?" are ambush questions?
I am shocked by what I'm seeing in this thread. I'm thinking we have a lot of posters here that are hovering around the same intelligence level as Mr. Greene himself.
I am going to join the Alvin Greene Campaign and help him win against the incumbent establishment candidate.
Uhuh, sure.
I noticed you avoided my first question. Why do you assume he wouldn't have the money to file for office?
You don't find it strange that someone who is unemployed would put down $10,000 on a Senate campaign he has virtually zero chance of winning? It's even more suspicious when you factor in that he seems to have run no campaign at all. He just dropped $10,000 on a filing fee then forgot about the whole thing. He's either mentally retarded or he's the willing pawn of a DeMint backer who wanted to put a black name on the Democratic ballot.
Where is your proof that he ran no campaign at all? Perhaps he spent his time in the areas of SC that don't get much media coverage? In all the interviews I saw, he said he went all across the state. Perhaps he focused on the 'hood? Perhaps the establishment is embarressed because they ignored his campaign, trying to use the "ignore them so they lose" tactic when all the while he was working his ass off for it going door to door?
No, I don't find it strange that somebody living at home with their parents, has 10k in savings. Do you know his finances? Maybe he saved up while in the military, or had a nice lawsuit win or came into an inheritence, maybe he has sold drugs. There are thousands of ways to have 10k to throw around than are more likely than some republican conspiracy.
This... Not being racist, but I think it's possible for a poor person (doesn't have to be black) to 1) get his family and friends to vote for him 2) get his family and friends to get their friends to vote for him, and so on.. 3) get others in the same situation as him to vote for him along with THEIR family and friends and so on...
In many of Greene's interviews he states how he can relate with poor people, etc. So what's so hard to believe that he spread the word to 100,000 people? Or LESS.. I mean sure, some of the voters might have just voted for him because 1) he has a famous name, 2) he was first on the ballot, or 3) they just didn't like his opponent.. But ALL 100,000 of them? No way.
Also, race COULD be a factor..
But his whole win could have been affected by the snowball-effect I described above..
People complaining about this guy should be complaining to the VOTERS who elected him to office.
After all, he's not the first idiot who's ever been elected..![]()
Exactly, it is quite possible for such a campaign to have taken place AND for the media to have completely missed it, especially the national media. It's far from inconceivable. All he had to do was get himself and his friends and his family to each speak outside a couple Churches every Sunday. I think you'd get a lot more than 100,000 people hearing your message.
Maybe they dont' want to? The conspiracy theory is certainly more entertaining to their viewers and I can imagine why they might not want to give others the idea they can run an off-air campaign and win.Why has the media not been able to find 1 out of the 100,000 that voted for him? I'd like to hear from them.
I just watched Olbermann "interview" a Senate candidate from the movie Idiocracy.
Did anyone else notice a different voice at the 4:58 mark?
