URGENT * DEADLINE 7/28 MIDNIGHT* Grassroots Talent Needed for FULL PAGE Iowa ad

Here is a different approach, since there are a lot of people who would like to see more emphasis put on his military donation numbers.

I think the wording could use some work, but I'll throw it out here so I can get input .

I like a lot of things about this, especially the basic idea of it.

I would not use the word "seem." There's no need to be wishy washy. Just say, "We share a common creed."

Also, it might be just me, but I'm not crazy about the top sentence, especially given that RP campaigns on the idea that most of what the military gets used for is not guarding freedom. What if instead it said, "I took an oath to uphold the Constitution."?

On the pie chart, I think it would be simpler just to have the 2011 data. That's enough by itself to make the point.

It's good to keep it simple. So that right there might be enough. However, if you want to add one or two more things (I don't know if it would be a good idea or not), one thing would be the Ronald Reagan quote about Ron Paul being strong on defense, and the other would be the factoid that he is the only presidential candidate with military experience.

Yeah, I don't like that wording. I would make it say:

I took an Oath to Protect and Defend the Constitution...
... and only one candidate takes that oaths seriously.

For that, we support him.

Then I would tweak the graph to a simpler pie chart showing 2011 only...

Keep it simple...

I'm sending off an e to Gary to find out when he needs all these beauties that were made here.

They will be doing further editing I assume? And probably use Photoshop? If that is the case I think submitters should pool together Photoshop (or equivalent) files to submit so further editing is much easier.

Whoever has NOT submitted their ads to the Submissions Thread - PLEASE DO SO.

There are some beauties here. This is gonna be tough for RPAC to decide. Real Tough!

Slightly confused, xdream. By:

Ads from the designer. What a great team effort!!!!!

Do you mean a designer for the PAC such that one of these will appear in the Ames Trib?

I am very new at graphic design, but I am very proud of this attempt. I hope it is chosen. Ron Paul 2012!

I just don't think 'the good doctor' will go over with those not already on board the way we would hope. The ad looks great, I just don't know about that text. I don't think anyone is going to vote for him because of the number of babies he delivered. Whereas we have a consistent Constitutional record and economic expertise which WOULD make people vote for him, imho.

xdream's design inspired me to do my own layout version. Totally off topic from the Ames design. But, just for fun! :D

Despite my understandable interest in my own ad creation, I find myself really agreeing with what's being said about this one.

It's the only for which this scenario occurs: *flip page*,*flip page*,*flip page*, "Uh, what's this about?"

It also helps reiterate that he's NOT an isolationist.

this post from earlier sums it up rather well:

A good ad has to catch someone's attention. I know it's lame, but that's effective advertising unless you been branding yourself over a very long period of time.

Here's a summary of suggestions to improve it (some of them my own):
*Remove 2007 data. It's much more clear without it
*Remove "seem"
*Instead of saying "All Donations from the Military" say "Donations from Military Personnel" or "Campaign Donations from Military Personnel", I think it sounds more official
*If possible, site a source of the info. Perhaps refer to PolitiFact?
*Make his name slightly more obvious
*Add a QR Code to an RP website or landing page!

Exactly the kind of edgy ad we need, except Ron Paul 2012 needs to become more of a focal point. Also, maybe replace "American Way of Life" with "the Constitution." Like was previously mentioned, nix the word "seem" as well.

Would you be willing to make these changes and post a revised version? Add Ron Paul's logo and the Reagan endorsement, and this ad is a winner.

Absolutely! I will be retouched in photoshop. Just waiting for the final to do the post production. Thanks! Yes, if there are professional retouch artists, that would be excellent!!! -patrick
