URGENT * DEADLINE 7/28 MIDNIGHT* Grassroots Talent Needed for FULL PAGE Iowa ad

C'mon!... we need Jesus busting through a wall with an AK-47 and a Ron Paul t-shirt on. lol

Want to collaborate on that one? lol

Well, people always say they support their troops. Maybe they'll be more influenced to follow their lead, if they knew.

---

Just updated some of the verbiage and made Ron Paul's name bigger.

although the military ad is cool, i don't think its what we need in Iowa right now. The most important issue nationally tends to be the economy in most polls, and the main thing republicans in Iowa are looking for in a candidate (based on my personal calls to Iowans as well as survey's) is the electability to beat Obama. Military contributions speak to neither of these issues.

I'd prefer to convince people to not support the troops than to use their love for the military to get votes.

I wish we could have two. One featuring Ron and one that. Because of that OBL nonsense.

Its all about effectiveness at this point though. If your aim is to get votes, you are barking up the wrong tree by demonizing the military in Ron Pauls name. (which I understand you are probably not doing)

I think this ad grabs attention. All of the others dont have a big grab that pulls you in and are liable to pass over it if they have a preconceived notion of RP. (which 80% of people do)

I'm actually somewhat on board with you on this ideal. I think the campaign has done a pretty good job with the economic position, though, with the conviction ad running in Iowa and other states. I do think that we can win over the hearts and minds with a broader paint stroke on the positions Paul has in his favor.

Honestly, considering this will be a newspaper ad, the target audience won't be quite as suited for my military ad, as they would be for a Christian-based ad. I would imagine the readers are mostly 40+ range that don't use the internet near as much. It is a really important voting group.

I still like Romulus 1st entry the best. It's too bad that image is unavailable at this time.

But do you vote? This whole thing is an effort to get votes.

Yes I do.

No, I'd assume Ron Paul would be fine with this as they have promoted the fact that he gets the most military contributions. I just think that winning votes and/or the presidency is worthless if people don't embrace the ideas of liberty. I don't feel that supporting the troops is compatible with liberty, though I guess that isn't what this ad actually does. It is far better than that, just showing that a lot of people in the military probably want to end these wars. I just don't like any sort of reverence being paid to the military.

2nd Version of my Ad using a photo that Gage took. Should mean less worry about copyright issues. Hope it's ok Gage!

Honestly, I don't see the PAC running a faith based ad.. I think it would do well.. and no other candidate would be running that type of ad at all...

I think it puts the military on OUR side. For an AMERICAN DEFENSE. They didn't sign up to be nation building half the world away from home.

However, if they only pick one, it may not be the one they pick. I wish they'd pick two, and it was one of the two, though, to be honest.

The military has never and will never be on our side. It is always on the side of the government.

[EDIT] Sorry, I should stop commenting. I apologize for derailing the thread. Would love to see some sort of ad put out there.

Also remember these men and women are, in general, incompatible with the current state of the military, being a Ron Paul supporter and trying hard to uphold their oaths. I wouldn't mind giving these service members a bit of reverence for that. They get other soldiers to think twice about their duties on a daily basis. A very good thing.

One of the things this ad shows is how lacking in support from the military the Republican Party has, except for Ron Paul. I think him even beating out Obama is a huge significance, being Obama is their commander-in-chief! They still donate more to Ron Paul and that may make Republicans feel more inclined to reconsider Paul.

The military is made up of individuals. And THIS military, some of it, signed up for national guard at a time when that was expected to stay on the home front fighting disasters and potential of invasion.

First off... HORSESHIT! You obviously know nothing about people in the military.
Second, take this elsewhere... this thread is for a different purpose.

I remember when Ron had Patreus at a foreign policy hearing and quite clearly thought Patreus's oath to follow the Constitution demanded independent judgment and Patreus looked absolutely miserable. He essentially said the questions were above his pay grade, and Ron was revolted. Patreus almost sounded like he was begging for Ron's understanding, to me. He didn't get it.
