Okay I finally got the image to "feel"...

It's not obvious but I tried to keep mine very clean but have small text running around the outside edge so people could zoom in and read the good things about Dr. Paul after the add made them curious

My thought is this would be effective in a full page add but we don't notice it much with the small version on the forum.

minor option edits, I took 'option' to mean the other was an option and these were additional ones, not replacing the first.

I did like your text on the edge, and your picture 'pops'. I didn't quite as much like the eagles, as a matter of personal taste.

In another thread we were talking about how we would like to also use ones not selected by the pac, it would be great if designers could chime in there if that would be ok, once the pac picks the one for the newspaper.

I figured it out. The one you refer to is the wrong aspect ratio for the ad (it's wider than it is tall). The other 4 are the right proportions.

Sunny is going to do that when she figures we are done, I expect. They have to place the ad on the 29th so I'd think today or tomorrow, early. Probably today.

I sent off an email @ the ronpaul2012 website to suggest they put some high-res pics of Ron Paul on their site so we wouldn't have to worry about copyright problems. Hopefully, they will actually do it. Maybe other people on this thread that submitted designs could send emails as well.

I think this is a very cool concept we should use somewhere if not here.

If we have TWO ads I'd say this should be one, it is very eye catching. However if there is only one maybe we need Ron's name more dominant for those who only glance -- not sure. I agree this is different and attention grabbing.

I think the last quarter 2007 numbers should not be in though because a number of the candidates now weren't in that and Obama beat Ron the following quarter (when the media started reporting Ron as having dropped out in February.) I'd just go with this last quarter.

Yeah, that is why I had went with Q4 of 07 instead of Q1 of 08. I could be a bit partial though, as I was part of that group in Q4. =)

I think to some degree, the 07 numbers are important to set precedent and show this wasn't just a fluke.

Hmm.. you bring up a good point sailingaway. I wonder what ALL quarters would look like stacked on this? I would think that visually it should obviously lean toward Ron Paul. That's a lot of number crunching.. these right now are close, but need to be scrutinized carefully before any printing.

I really think this idea garners us more support than a generic ad. We should really roll with this and just tweak the numbers/ message
