Rick Santorum Santorum now claiming he is a veteran

"A favorite of the tea party"

He openly criticized the tea party himself...

Morning Joe is covering this ad right now and good 'ol Joe gave him a complete free ride on this deal. Now, he's pitching Santorum as a "regular guy". Considering that he has been a K street lobbyist, I think that takes him out of "regular guy" territory. But, maybe that's just me.

Not that Morning Joe is necessarily doing this, but I think many Obama supporters are clandestinely supporting Santorum to make him the easiest nominee to beat in the general election. It's the only way I can explain how Santorum is winning MI. Note also that the most "republican" of the major cities (Lansing) favors Ron Paul, while the more "democrat" population centers are favoring Santorum.

What program does one use to make it videos like the one with the adjustments? I would like to make professional looking YouTube vids but don't know where to start.

We all know Ron is the only veteran in the race, but this scum Santorum is trying to convey to people that he has been in the military for 8 years. Of course he is playing on people ignorance, but whats the difference...it is obvious deception. I don't even blame scumbags like Santorum anymore, but I blame the idiot people who can't put two and two together. Its beyond me how anyone can look at Santorums lying face without puking. Politicians don't scare me, my idiot neighbors and general public does.

Watch this crap! He also claims that he reformed welfare WTF?

The voiceover says "foreign policy credentials" so the context should be clear to anyone who's paying attention. I passionately hate Santorum but I'm afraid this is within the range of acceptable political advertising and probably on the same level as Ron Paul's ads in Texas saying that he's a "Vietnam-era veteran" even though he never served in Vietnam.

Here's an image I just quickly did...

Working on reuploading the ad with proper image/warning later.

Recommendation: do not put 'committee' the way you have it. It's not as obvious as it should be that YOU added it. Maybe have it in a different font, in parenthesis, and not placed exactly where the word would go if it was there.

There's nothing in politics worth your life.

XNN

While I agree the poster in question shouldn't commit suicide if Santorum is nominee, I believe Patrick Henry and many, many others would disagree with you.

How in the heck are you equating a non-veteran implying that he is a veteran with a real veteran speaking the truth? No Vietnam vet calls themselves a 'Vietnam-era vet'.

"Served 8 Years ON Armed Services" which is true, as he was on the Armed Services committee. He never said he was IN the Armed Services. Lets be sure when we attack these scum its based on FACTS. There are plenty of REAL things to hit them with.

Perception is reality.

You can't claim you 'served in Vietnam' just because you spent a summer as a waiter in Hanoi.

An official Veteran's group really needs to put out a press release about this. It doesn't need to attack Santorum so much as formally request that he clearly denote that he was not in the military and to avoid using such loose language in the future.

Wow, I don't know how anyone can defend that. It's blatantly obvious what he's doing there.

The very reason he said "Served 8 years ON Armed Services" was so that people would overlook and misinterpret the statement. He is trying to pretend he served IN the armed services. Of course, he fails to mention which one of the services and hopes that the statement will be misinterpreted.

POS

Let's see how "ARMED SERVICES" are reported by the official "COMMITTEE", THEIR LETTERHEAD, and the media.

I will commit suicide if he is the nominee

No! If it's not Ron, Santorum will be the IDEAL nominee! He will lose in the greatest possible landslide to Obama and Rand will be optimally set up for 2016, after 4 more increasingly horrible economic years under Obama. You should rejoice rather than contemplate suicide!

This. I don't see any of the RINOs winning anything without the Paul supporter votes.

Purposefully deceitful.
Its not so much deceitful as it is a point blank lie. The armed services include the US Army, US navy/marines, and US air force. The armed services is nothing like the armed services committee. Paul needs to call him out on that ad during the next debate!
