You said it best. A very deceptive tactic by Santroum's campaign indeed. When I saw the ad I immediately knew that it referred to the Armed Services Committee. However, to the average voter that comes off as him actually serving in the military, which is exactly what his campaign was attempting to do. Nice tactic by the Santorum campaign..

Let's just assume that 30-40% of the Republicans that vote are ignorant, easily tricked or do not do their due diligence. I think we can safely say that 30-40% general population is like that too. Scary huh?

The low regard that Santorum has for documented truth is belied by his rash comments on euthanasia in The Netherlands. He said that 10% of the Dutch population is euthanized - 5% are euthanized against their will! He claimed that the elderly Dutch are afraid to go to the hospital, so they go to other countries for medical care. Santorum also maintained that the Dutch wear wristbands that say "DO NOT EUTHANIZE ME!" This is all nonsense. A boy here in Jupiter, Florida, has responded by making wristbands that say "IF SANTORUM IS ELECTED, EUTHANIZE ME!"
