Mitt Romney is honored to have the endorsement of Rand Paul

Ron said he isn't going to be the nominee. And Rand has always said he'd endorse the eventual nominee.

Not sure why people are going so crazy over this.

I still like you Rand.

Just think about it this way.

Many of us went to our district conventions without anyone knowing that we supported Ron Paul. We did this just to become delegates. Rand and Ron could be doing the same thing.

Ron's already admitted that he won't have enough delegates to beat Romney. So why not.
You are a delegate. Why aren't you going to the st convention? Why did you go to this far just to bail?

Rand should be ashamed of himself, backstabbing his own father.

he had to have discussed this. Ron Paul doesn't want to keep running. He does it because the supporters want him to. It's not what Ron Paul wants - to have trouble in Tampa when he knows he won't win.

If Rand Paul was the VP nominee, it would be a huge huge victory for Liberty.

I fail to see how Rand as VP would be a huge victory for liberty when he said he supports Romney's foreign policy.

I'm very disappointed in Rand, whatever the reason is for his endorsement.

Uh, saying Romney is with us on foreign policy, privacy issues, etc isn't surprising or concerning? Campaigning for the asshat isn't a concern?

IMHO, no, not really. If he's endorsing him (which we always knew Rand would do since he stated as such) what else is he supposed to say?

I'm not happy things ended up this way but we all knew deep down that this was a very good possibility of how things were going to go.

I don't like it. It makes me feel ill. But, I don't doubt for a minute that it is political maneuvering to try to further our cause. I still am going to hang in there with Rand. I will keep my eyes wide open, but for the most part, his actions in the Senate have been outstanding.

I know it requires faith. But, remember, that Ron Paul didn't win any states. Or did he win one? Anyway, he's not getting through to the masses. I don't think it's the message at all. I think it is the way he phrases it. As others have said, he uses a lot of catch phrases that usually come from leftists and it trips so many switches in conservatives' minds. I think Rand will be successful in getting through to these people when Ron was not and I absolutely think Ron was in on this decision.

Rand isn't preaching the same message if he's saying Romney is with us on foreign policy.

I agree with you 100%

I know people need to vent cause it hits you hard when things that mean a lot to you don't turn out the way you want it but we have to remember what Ron said, that this would be a long term project, not just one election cycle or even 2 or 3. Just think of how far we've come from 4 years ago. We're still gonna have a huge presence at the convention this year and we need to work as hard as we can to bring more liberty-minded people into congress as possible.

You don't think it's a mistake to endorse a candidate who still supports the Wall St bailout?

Your post is very misleading. You make it sound totally different than what it was. Rand said: I think Romney will not be a rash commander in chief and believes Congress should declare wars before starting them. That's completely different from "Romney is with us of foreign policy", which makes it sound like saying "Bomb Iran now!" is our position.

I'm sick of your sensationalistic bullshit, and this comes from somebody who supports Ron and wouldn't lift a finger to help Rand's future candidacy.

So Romney is really gonna name Rand as VP? I'd be on board with that. No problem. We need victories and putting Ron Paul's SON in the whitehouse would be HUGE for my cause.

We don't know that. I still think it is going to be Rubio.
The only chance now I would vote Republican would be on a ticked with Rand.

Watching the interview, did make me feel a bit more positive on this, because of Rand saying things about Auditing the Fed, Not Rushing to war, and other issues of freedoms.
Definately political maneuvering, going on, and there is no way Ron is not in on this.

Rand interview on Hanity.

Not when he's the party's nominee. It sucks that he was for it but either way it looks like we're going to have a President that supported the bailouts. :(

I try to be an optimist (in the long run anyway) I guess.
