#111 - Alaska and Washington, wins for Ron Paul

I hope to GOD this is true. Can we get some 100% legitimate confirmation on this? I want to bulletin this to everyone on myspace and start spreading the word about it. Tell em I was right, and they were wrong about him "not having a chance".

But I need confirmation before I start spouting my mouth off!

THE REVOLUTION WILL NOT BE TELEVISED. This means you will get NOTHING OFFICIAL from MSM. You will just have to believe us!

I caucused in WA and I would confirm it. The WA strategy was the same in many other states in that we were listing ourselves as "uncommitted" and if you see that 16% were uncommitted and know that over 50% of them (8%) are RP suppporters you know that RP won. His 21% reported by the MSM is really more like 30% or more.

I haven't looked at them yet (will after the reply), but anyone can throw anything up on a blog and digg.

Just a note to be a little more cautious when reading them.

lol, it's my blog, as far as washington, the state coordinator sent a letter confirming this

and I linked to the thread about alaska, it's all been heavily discussed on the board before I posted it

Small point to correct, Alex:"delegates and are confirmed for the state convention" is not accurate. we are confirmed for the district and/or county conventions, and we will have some muscle here.

i'll back up rice_classic. i'm pretty sure we won the delegate count and i was one of those that wrote "uncommitted" as did one of my delegates (the other wrote "Paul") But out of 1 "Paul" vote and 2 "uncommitted" that were reported from my precinct, Ron Paul has 4 delegates and 2 alternate delegates. You did not need to be present to be elected.

No offense, but winning two states does prove that a presidential candidate "has a chance". There is a lot of ground to cover between being a loser and a winner. Ron Paul is a few steps into the field, but he is nowhere near the end-zone at this point. I would hold off on bragging to your myspace friends about this "victory" because you will just sound foolish. If he surpasses Huckabee, Romney supporters start looking like they may throw their support his way and he begins nipping at McCain's heals in the delegate race then you would could start bragging.

it's still a step...doesn't a candidate need, what? 5 State victories to be eligible to participate at a brokered convention?

This is basically our last hope of getting him elected---Huckabee stays in and somehow picks up steam and causes a brokered convention (meanwhile, Paul wins 3 more States), and Paul totally owns at the RNC.

The other one is a lot more unlikely---Huckabee drops out, and McCain withdraws because he suddenly becomes ill (or he just dies). That'd be a really strange situation, but, none-the-less...

those are really the only 2 paths I think that are left that could give us a chance at victory.

It would be, in my opinion, an unfortunate event if RP won by "default", though. So I personally am not for that... he wouldn't be respected anywhere near as much. Though I definitely wouldn't fight against him winning by default, just because everyone - and by "everyone" I mean the MSM, the govt, the "intellectual elite", the naysayers and ignoramuses of the world, et al, have been against him since day one.

I also don't mean that I'd brag to everyone about him "WINNING" as in winning the election... but just to prove to them that there is a much greater chance than they thought at the nomination than they initially thought... that fact by itself will get mroe people to support him and be mroe confident in spreading the word of RP.

And even though I legitimately 99.9% believe you, it's just that I really can't use a blog as backup for THEM... I'd need some kind of source... like if you could post a scan fo the letter etc, so that they will have a harder time denouncing it as BS.

We also did VERY well in MN concerning delagtes, especially now that Mitt's gone. The straw poll was a sham, the only significant # is the delagate count.
