Donald Trump promised Republican Senators this week to reverse a drilling ban for the Alaska Arctic National Wildlife Refuge if he wins the November vote.

According to a Bloomberg report, Trump made the promise at a closed-door meeting, saying, per one of those present at the meeting “He opened it up, and Biden closed it down, and he said when we get back we’ll get it back open.”

Donald Trump promised.......

That is not a contract.

Therefore, don't expect satisfaction.

Plus, past performance is sometimes a guarantee of future returns.

U.S. Interior Secretary Doug Burgum announced plans to open more land for oil and gas drilling in Alaska and remove restrictions on building an LNG pipeline and mining road
This follows President Donald Trump's order to boost energy development in the state
Burgum said the government will reopen 82 percent of Alaska’s National Petroleum Reserve for leasing and allow drilling on 1.56 million acres of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge

The excuses never stop. What court did what to stop him?
Since his first term the courts constantly try to tell him he can't undo regulations like this from his predecessors unless he jumps through hoops, or sometimes even at all.

Trying to pretend you don't know that is pathetic.

Just admit you don't know. It's easier.

Zerohedge implied it happens more often than not, so you automatically assume it happened in every single everloving case. Then you whine when no one believes you.

Which makes you both a boor and a bore.

Filed back in Feb 2025.

This does not cover shore-based drilling, but the intent is the same.

Years ago, the plan was to drill in the Arctic ocean offshore of the North Slope and ANWR.

The outfit I used to work for spent $130 million building two new state of the art vessels just for that project, only to have it shut down which led to a bankruptcy declaration.

Trust me, there will be lawsuits to shut this effort down within weeks.
