Your take on Sharia law in America

I find it very odd that there are people who worry about Sharia law taking hold in the US on any significant scale. Sure, there may be some small pockets of it here and there, just as there are other sects and cults scattered throughout the US. This seems to be what the OP is concerned about. Fair enough. But those who claim that Muslims in this country could possibly impose Sharia law beyond this minimal level have been brainwashed by neocon propaganda.

Let's all remember what neoconservatism is about. It's a political movement that was started by a group of ex-leftist Jews who schemed to transform the Republican Party into the "War for Israel Party." Their goal has always been the same from the beginning: to promote a "Clash of Civilizations" between Western countries, especially the US, and the Muslim world. This would allow Israel to benefit greatly at US expense in blood and treasure.

Their plan worked perfectly. The Republican Party is now full of idiots who worship the federal government because it "defends our freedoms from radical Islamo-fascists." Any war is a good war. Having a Big Brother surveillance state at home is just fine as long as it "keeps us safe from terrorism." We should just abandon the Constitution and all our traditional American values in the name of safety and being "tough on terrorists." Naturally, the neoconned GOP had no use for someone like Ron Paul.

One important aspect of the neocon agenda is stoking paranoia about Muslims taking over the US. Not only is this clearly impossible, it's a very ironic charge coming from the neoconservative movement, the leadership of which is almost entirely Jewish and very dedicated to Israel (in spite of living in the US). If people want to worry about a minority group taking over the US, perhaps they should be worried about Zionist Jews, who have ALREADY taken over the US government. Something like 50% of Democratic Party donations come from Jewish sources, and I'm sure the percentage is also high for the GOP. AIPAC is easily one of the most wealthy and powerful lobbies in D.C. Does anyone think Muslims in the US have anywhere close to this kind of political influence? If they did, maybe the US government wouldn't consistently refer to Israel's slow genocide of the Palestinians and theft of their land as "self-defense."

If the Jews did it why couldn't the Muslims? You refuted your own point.

No, its not. Not if you were kept from going to school or meeting your "foreign" neighbors, will you know what a radio or internet is.

LOL, since when do you need to attend government indoctrination camp to know what a radio or the internet is?

John Adams in a speech to the military in 1798 warned his fellow countrymen stating, "We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion . . . Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." John Adams is a signer of the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights and our second President.

Gouverneur Morris, Penman and Signer of the Constitution. "[F]or avoiding the extremes of despotism or anarchy . . . the only ground of hope must be on the morals of the people. I believe that religion is the only solid base of morals and that morals are the only possible support of free governments. [T]herefore education should teach the precepts of religion and the duties of man towards God."
(a signer of the u.s. constitution)

George Washington, General of the Revolutionary Army, president of the Constitutional Convention, First President of the United States of America, Father of our nation, " Religion and morality are the essential pillars of civil society."

I think this is pretty self explanatory

private, yes, but voluntary? What constitutes voluntary? I voluntarily stole something therefore I "volunteered" for you to cut my hand off?

I swear there was a whole thread on this somewhere....

Oh yeah ... it was this thread:

Have this discussion in 5 years when all these 'arab spring' countries have become islamic states and a caliphate is possibly in existence (my guess is there will be a push to see it re-established by the 100 year anniversary in 2024).Then they will try to expand into europe and you will have to decide who to support.

Nail on head. It is nothing but fear mongering by and for the rabid.

This.

Anyone who actually thinks that Islamic law is being codified into law and that Americans will be subject to it is either ignorant or willfully spreading misinformation.

SHARIA LAW POSES NO THREAT TO ANYONE IN THE US.

9/11 was an inside job.

Nice post.

To be honest, I'd like the return of honor killings and such. People are just getting to crazy. If you rape some girl, you deserve to die, no matter what a western court says. Vigilante justice keeps people honest.

No, they should not. Not until the government gets rid of the (un)fair housing act and all quota systems. Until then, no way. Freedom of association must work both ways. Presently, it does not.

Wrong thread. You were looking for the one titled "Your take on Talmudic law in America".

You can start your research with this syllabus:

That used to work really well in America. Turned out nearly all rape was perpetrated by blacks. These days its much harder to get to the bottom of such crimes.

I don't see how sharia law can be reconciled with the constitution or natural rights in general. I don't know how necessary it is to ban it as I believe it is already mostly illegal. You can't chop someones hand off or stone your wife for dishonoring you.

I don't think we should respect barbaric cultural or religious practices in the name of 'tolerance', what's right is right and what's wrong is wrong. If an adult wants to live by their own moral code or what have you then more power to them but applying it other people as some sort of 'law' is wrong.

Its not Sharia that is the problem, there are plenty of cultures globally where being pro-life means letting your daughter live and just aborting the baby.
