I won't be voting for any Republicrat nominee, but I will be rooting for Trump to smash the shit out of the GOP. Rand was the only Republican worth voting for. Now I just want to see the GOP get kicked in the teeth and Trump might be good for that.

Trump is the great wrecking ball of the one party system. And when they try to inevitably steal the election from him since he's not CFR approved, he's going to air all the dirty laundry.

I see the rest as controlled stooges, including Trump and Bernie. All of them will will follow the scripts given to them. Rhetoric aside, they will initiate the same policies. At least with Trump we might get a laugh out of him as POTUS as the country goes down the toilet, but I probably won't bother voting.

I'm beyond cynical right, now. I just don't give a shit. The idiots have spoken. Liberty is lost. Take care of these close to you. The country will fall but life will go on-- it always has.

(I may be in a better mood this afternoon and vote LP/ConstP, but right now... Meh, I've got enough to take care of in my own life.)

Cruz for sure.

My main issue, by far, is capitalism. Cruz is the best on that at this juncture.

I'll live with social conservatism and warmongering to get more free markets. Don't get me wrong, it isn't ideal, but it is the best case scenario for me at this point.

Bernie Sanders, in my opinion, is the worst major party candidate to have run in my lifetime. That should put how important capitalism is to me in perspective.

Cruz the ultimate Bush clone

Well, I'm sad I won't have the chance to vote for Rand now in NH, but it isn't surprising, and I would much rather see him continue on in the Senate where he actually makes a difference.

I don't for a second believe Trump and Cruz really believe half the outrageous crap they say, they are intelligent men, but that isn't a reason to support them, who knows what they really stand for underneath the act.

I won't be voting in the primary. Maybe for third party in the general, depending.

I hadn't thought of it that way. But that's a very sensible argument.

How many to retire in the next eight years?

Sanders. I'm a character voter, not party or policy. His platform won't pass in a correctly working system of checks and balances, but the presidential veto and commander in chief is very much in play. I want the person of most moral conviction and rational foreign policy at the helm and he's the only one aside Paul who meets the requirements. I'd rather have 4 years of gridlock again to give us another shot at a fiscal conservative in 2020.

But yet you don't have any problem with people voting for Trump and Sanders? Why is it ok to support Trump and Sanders but not Cruz?

Because Trump doesn't pretend to be a snake in the grass piece of shit we know he is one and Sanders isn't pretending to be a socialist. Rafael Cruz is pretending to not only be a nice guy, but also a NBC of the US. Which he is not. Easy to choose when you see someones true colors right off.

Everyone sucks, but I'll tell you what. Something I really care about is to have a nominee that at least can properly defend free market capitalism. The absolute worst person for this is Trump. When asked about the minimum wage he gave the absolute worst freaking answer he could have given; the answer that Hillary is hoping for.

Everyone will be watching when the minimum wage question comes up in the general. Independents, people who don't know anything about anything. If Trump tells them that the reason republicans don't want a minimum wage is because we want businesses to be competitive, you can forget it. They will side with the socialists in a heartbeat.

Nice to get a negative rep saying "eat shit" for my comment here -- I would have to guess that is a Cruz supporter because Ron Paul supporters were NEVER nasty people ... in fact, I've never seen anything like it.

I can confirm that. The nasty ones that use Trump in their attacks, I have read enough of their posts and they are in fact Cruz supporters.

So you're ok with the whole gun control thing?

Like I said, I need to learn more about him. I do not support gun control, but I could overlook a couple flaws in a viable candidates platform. Especially if the alternatives are terrible.

Well, ok. Their actual positions on the issues are far worse than Cruz's though. Sanders is an outright Communist and Trump is for eminent domain, for keeping all of the federal lands, for bailouts, for shutting down mosques, for forcing Muslims to register with the government, for universal healthcare, for an assault weapons ban, etc.

What good is stopping any of them? How will that improve anything?

Improving anything isn't an option. Stopping the worst remaining possible outcome is.

Plus, it might make some Trump supporters feel bad. And that's something.

I know and neither one has tried to hide this agenda, which is why it makes it easier to pick one of them. As much as I hate both of them. Cruz is one of those that is with us until he is elected and then he turns communist. Kind of reminds me of the scorpion/snake/lion and the frog/turtle/rabbit story. Cruz is the scorpion/lion/snake and we are all the frog/turtle/rabbit.

Too late then ... welcome to a borderless world where America's freedoms are a thing of the past. Big picture.

I really have no idea. I am really up. to. here with the fearmongering of Cruz, Rubio, and Trump. Up. to. here. There is nobody in the field who supports the concept of a defensive military. Nobody else thinks peace begins with diplomacy. What we're doing clearly is not working. Nobody is willing to address the very complex tax code except Carly Fiorina. Nobody else is talking about the debt. Donald Trump is probably the only one who actually has a billion dollars and understands what that looks like. At least he gets that it's a lot of money.

Unless someone steps up who embraces something a little closer to my personal values and take up the issues that concern me, I don't know what I will do.
