Trump launches anti-Massie Super PAC, pledges to campaign against Massie in KY

Rep. Thomas Massie proposed the most revolutionary MAHA bill yet last week.

He wants to repeal key parts of the 2005 PREP Act that gave Pharma a liability shield for Covid-19 vaccine injuries.

In 2005, the PREP Act gave the HHS Secretary the authority to declare a public health emergency and provided a liability shield for the manufacture, distribution, and use of “medical countermeasures”—including the mRNA shots used in response to Covid-19.

It's understandable that during certain emergencies, certain medicines will need to be in much greater supply than at other times, and the benefits they offer in those times may outweigh risks they have to a greater degree than at other times.

But those risks should still be laid out truthfully by the manufacturers to be weighed by all. There are no conceivable scenarios where any drug companies should be given a license to lie about the risks and benefits of their medicines without liability for that.

The big favor he's referring to might be pardon of Ross Ulbricht. Trump told Massie in a phone call he'd do it.

Most normal people would just call that doing what he had previously already promised to do, but in Trump world, that might be a favor for Massie
Nope. It's even worse. He considered it a "big favor" to call him and talk to him personally after Rhonda died instead of sending a card or having an aide call.

Massie told the story someplace, but I can't find it. He said that on a later issue, Trump leans in and said, "I did you a big favor by calling myself, as opposed to sending somebody down". That's the Life and Death reference Trump was making. He's a pathetic little man.

Newsweek: Thomas Massie's Polling Numbers 'Turned Upside Down' by MAGA Campaign
Kentucky Republican Representative Thomas Massie's political fortunes have shifted dramatically, with new polling showing a steep drop in support after an aggressive MAGA-backed push to unseat him.

According to a new internal poll by McLaughlin and Associates, posted by Donald Trump on his Truth Social account, Massie's favorability rating dropped from 54 percent in June to 43 percent this month, while his unfavorability rating rose to 54 percent from 40 percent. His overall job approval slipped from 52 percent to 39 percent.

The poll attributed Massie's falling support to a barrage of ads from MAGA Inc, a pro-Trump super PAC that spent $800,000 on a recent TV campaign in his district, following an earlier $1 million ad buy targeting him.

"MAGA Kentucky's advertising campaign has turned Thomas Massie's polling numbers up-side-down, leaving him exposed and extremely vulnerable in a Republican primary election for Congress," the poll stated.

But a spokesperson for Massie dismissed the poll, telling Newsweek: "This poll does not reflect reality in Kentucky's 4th district."

They also dismissed that the MAGA Inc super PAC was having an impact on Massie's support. "MAGA Kentucky is not MAGA and not Kentucky. It's three socially liberal globalist billionaires who are upset Congressman Massie doesn't vote for wars and foreign aid," they said.

Meanwhile, the statement described the pollster as unreliable, citing past inaccuracies. "He is well known for bad results, and is not the pollster the Trump team uses for serious polls."

Do the Ron Paul forces have enough of an intact network to coordinate a money bomb?

I don't think it's time to do one yet. But we should start figuring out how and where to get the word out so we're ready. This website alone won't be able to generate the numbers it used to.

Ron Paul "took the gloves off" when he left CONgress. Perhaps Tom can do the same? Tom himself stated that he won't lose any sleep if he doesn't win and would gladly go back home to work his farm.

He's not effective in the CONgress anyway, it's more about waking people up and changing the hearts and minds.

"What’s important to recognize is that neither Donald Trump nor anyone else can make America’s dysfunctional statist system work. The only thing that will work is the dismantling of America’s statist system. That’s what will make America great again."

I hear you.

I haven't been involved in politics since supporting Rand for President in 2016. And I've been inclined to eschew it. But I also want to see Massie embarrass Trump by wiping the floor with whatever establishment hack he anoints to run against him.

GOP leaders won’t help Massie’s bid for reelection as Trump plots his ouster
President Donald Trump and his top political advisers are plotting an aggressive push to oust one of his most persistent Republican adversaries: Rep. Thomas Massie.

And House GOP leaders won’t stand in Trump’s way.

Speaker Mike Johnson and his leadership team are sending their clearest signals to date that their conservative colleague will have to fend for himself as Trump’s allies prepare to dump millions into Massie’s district to purge him from the Northeastern Kentucky district he’s represented for nearly 13 years. In interviews with CNN, five members of House GOP leadership declined to offer their backing for Massie’s reelection bid – and Johnson would not say if he’d support his colleague.

Instead, the speaker admonished Massie for undercutting his party’s agenda – as the libertarian-minded Republican intensifies his furious battle to force the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files and derides Trump’s signature domestic policy achievement for driving up the national debt.

“He is actively working against his team almost daily now and seems to enjoy that role. So he is, you know, deciding his own fate,” Johnson told CNN, delivering a firm message that party leaders would not intervene to protect Massie in the escalating feud with Trump.

While Johnson said his job is to “lead the incumbent protection program,” the speaker chided Massie for waging “unfounded attacks” against him. And he added: “My way is to reach out an olive branch to everybody and be a peacemaker. And some people make that very difficult for me.”

The lack of support among House GOP leaders is a reflection of months of mounting frustration with the Kentucky Republican as he’s personally antagonized both the speaker and president in a series of fights – most recently in trying to force a vote on a bill to release the Epstein files over intense opposition from Johnson and the White House. Massie needs the support of just five other Republicans – along with all Democrats – to put the bill on the floor, but he remains two GOP signatures short.
