What Will You Be Doing On Inauguration Day?

My commanding officer is forcing us to watch it during duty hours on tuesday, at work.

He might be forcing you to sit in front of the TV, but he can't force you to listen to it, and he can't control where your mind goes....time to start practicing "tune out" mode.

Zach, you beat me to it

Change= shot
Hope= shot
Future= shot
Difficult= shot
Together= shot

anymore? I'm working on my 4th or 5th homemade mojitos and I'm not sure of my rationality. Is it Friday yet??

I am in.

I don't feel the least bit sorry about those who are wasting their life savings or going into debt to pay for their trip expenses.

I think that the numbers of people traveling there are inflated. Rooms in DC are still available.

Praying for a lightning strike.

Trying to resurrect Lee Harvey

Getting trashed

Ignoring the tube

Cleaning meh guns...

I will be working like I was doing on the past inaugurations. The world, bills, and taxes don't stop just because a new psuedo-king is taking the throne.

It would be a great day to purchase a evil looking, black firearm - maybe in .50 cal just to say FU! to this SOB!

I have a tax appointment with my accountant Tuesday. I think that's kind of ironic.

I will watch to see if they really use Troops to police American Citizens violating the Posse Comitatus Act while yelling at the TV that Anderson Cooper is CIA and saying that all the charts and polls they show about Obama's "unprecedented popularity" are bullshit.

I HAVE to watch it because in my newspaper class at my high school our teacher is making us watch it. And 90 percent of the class are all crazy for obama and I have to put up with there silly political discussions every day.

I may or may not decide to eject myself from that class by going to the bathroom for an extended period of time.

I will completely ignore it just as I will completely ignore every one of his calls to action.

This evil person is being treated like a rock star regardless of his malicious intent.
People are acting as if he is some sort of savior when he has never proven himself a person with any leadership capacity.
He has proven he can fall in line with the predetermined agenda of the powers that be.
He has proven to be a typical politician and flip flop like the wind.

He is nothing special and I have better things to do than listen to complete bullshit cheerleading from an empty suit.
There will be lots of reference to "change", more brainwashing for free labor for the government, more lines of "we as a people" will do some crap, more calls for everyone except him and his cronies to sacrifice for his cause(s) and a million or so clueless people in the crowd consuming the hundreds of millions of dollars used for his elitist inauguration to worship him and cheer him based purely on emotion, not policy or capability.

It is going to be bad enough to watch him undo the constitution and destroy our currency as he ushers in socialism in front of the clueless masses blindly cheering him on, so why watch the pre game show...the main event will be much more interesting.

I will be designing a superior form of "lunchables" on Tuesday.

Wish me luck. It may include some form of that soylent green stuff, whatever that is.

I will not watch a single minute of it. CNN and MSNBC's advertisers will not get a dime of revenue from this household. Who wants to see an African get sworn in to the highest office in the land, when these same bas**** laughed at the only true American in the race, Ron Paul.

TV's off in my house.

I will watch it, because it IS historic. I just won't like what I will be watching.

I'll be going to work. If I could, I would stay home. Not feeling too well and the traffic will be bad (I'm in Maryland).

My mom wanted to go to Baltimore train stop appearance until I told her she would have to wait there at 7am in the morning till 4pm in the cold for a good spot. By the way, taxpayers have to pay 11 million for the Maryland portion of Obama's train ride. :mad:

When we were picking up the pizza today, my mom started whining that if she went, she could could have shook Obama's hand too..:rolleyes:

I'm Canadian so I'll be watching with even more contempt than the average American. Iraq War Veterans are homeless, yet 150 million is being funded for a freak show - just proves America's priorities are so upside down right now.

Only a peasant society can worship the crowning of a new king, oops, I mean a new president.

It's not all bad though. All the pageantry and hoopla should be good material for future historians who will want to write about how clueless mainstream American society was in 2009.

And oh yeah, the speech? I can already guess what it will be like..
"My fellow Americans, blah blah score years ago, our founders had a dream. Than a King rekindled that dream. Now that dream is alive here, today, through you and me. And we will defeat any foe, meet any burden, blah blah, we will kill osama bin laden. We have a common destiny, and share a common hope. You wanted change, and here I am. blah blah..." No Truth will be uttered on any relevant subject whatsoever.
