What killed the transgender movement?

I don't see any "killing" of the transgender movement, but expect its popularity to rise over the next decades.
You can be sentenced for just about any personality trait to a mental disorder, except when you "come out" as thinking that you were born in the wrong body and have the courage to "transition" to another "gender".
All of these disinformation stories on female celebrities being called trannies on social media don't help.
These tales also include some of the most beautiful movie and music stars.
It's smart to exclude transgender "women" from competiting in women's sport, as this is objectively ridiculous (especially if they still have a penis!). If they wouldn't, in a couple of years ALL the women world records would be by transgender "women".
What makes the distinction more difficult is that all of these female sport stars are abusing steroids. While I think that basketball star Brittney Griner is a woman, she sure looks and talks (!) like a man...

I think it's not dead yet. But I also see it as a fad that's doomed to fail. There will always be individuals who do countercultural things like that. But there are differences between the sexes that nobody can just wave away by decree or their imagination, and no society ever has or ever will embrace transgenderism as normal for very long.

The transgender movement isn’t dead, but it is currently on life support and the life support should be unplugged, preferably by the transgenders themselves.

Using clinically insane weirdosexuals as shock troops to demand that the general public deny objective reality, to force them to not only say but believe that the fat man in a dress with chemically grown tits was, in fact, a woman and to enforce this, by law.
No different in theory from O'Brien torturing Winston Smith in Room 101 to say and believe that 2+2 really does equal 5.
Whether it's dead or not remains to be seen, but what should be dead are the ghouls calling themselves "doctors" who did shit like this otherwise healthy boys and girls.

The extremely low percentage of trans people was massively inflated in order to rial people up to vote for Pro-Israel/Pro-Technocrat Trump, who was also "hated" -------> across the finish line.
People fall for that stuff all of the time, to the point of even massively over-inflating issues themselves. TPTB love people like that [when AIPAC isn't quite enough] especially when it boosts their pre-selected candidate over the top for a "win".
Case in point: who worried about spending this, last or prior election? Answer: 0.

It wasn't killed. It never was real. It was astroturfed with funding from USAID, Corporations, etc. Then the marxists minions turned the conversation away from a common sense discussion with the accusations of, "You're just obsessed with other people's genitals." And other ridiculous tangents. It's the same way they killed debate about border security with accusations of racism. It's why I don't bother talking with them.

The issue has nothing to do with the numbers. That's such an illogical argument. How many children die from being left in a hot car each year? Less than 50 per year. Near where I live a state DHR contractor left a 3 year old child she was supposed to pick up from daycare in a care for 5 hours and the child died. Oops. But nobody can say "Oh it's no big deal because it's only a handful of kids." How many children have been damaged by gender affirming care? Well in the UK we know that it was 1 in 10 treated at the Tavistock clinic or about 1,000 who were damaged enough to sue. How many medals have women lost to transwomen in sports? One study suggests around 600 women have lost nearly 900 medals. How many women in prison have claimed to have been raped be men who have claimed a female gender identity? I know of at least one.
Now granted losing a medal or having an unnecessary double mastectomy isn't nearly as bad as a child dying in the back seat of a hot car. But my point is you can't just say "Well X is REALLY rare" and drop the mic. England, Switzerland, Norway and Finland have all restricted gender affirming care for minors. They did this before Trump even launched his 2024 campaign. Trump didn't CREATE the backlash on this issue. He RODE the backlash on this issue. Trump is very good and picking up on trends and riding the wave. He is NOT a trendsetter.
The funny thing is the "least bad" result of Obama's change in policy on the trans issue is the one that probably won Trump the most votes and that is Kamala Harris repeatedly putting her foot in her mouth on gender affirming care for prisoners. She went from this:

In the first clip she talked about her own ADVOCACY for trans surgeries for prisoners. In the second clip she tried to say "I'm just following the law just like Trump."
On the issue of abortion, prior to Roe v Wade, you wouldn't see a Democrat saying "I'm just following the law." They were proud of their advocacy on the issue (still are). But here's the funny part. It's estimated that since that policy because law the total costs to taxpayers is < $100,000. It costs about $40,000 per year to house one inmate. So the costs is a drop in the bucket. (More savings can be had by releasing a handful of non violent drug offenders.) But the ad worked because Kamala got caught in a lie.

Don’t tell American conservatives, but it was none other than Donald Trump that made it possible for trannies to compete in the Miss Universe contest (Trump owned the contest), working with the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.
