Video update: Jack Welch and wife on Fox News discussing Ron Paul

Why wouldn't he? Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence... but this is a perfectly ordinary claim.

why would he lie about that?
To lure people in to his bullshit.

If i was Welches kid, and was a true blue Ron Paul supporter, i'm pretty sure i couldn't or wouldn't be allowed into the house. Jack is a very powerful 'player' and his 'empire' was built on blood money. Can't have 'kids' expressing free will don't ya know. And thats the real reality.

I don't think he's lying. I'd just like to know about these kids. They're obviously from a very wealthy family. Whats the back story here? Are they working adults, free-thinkers, still in college, active or passive supporters, etc?

If they're in their 20's, they're active in social media. We could thank them for their support, the same as we do when we identify celebrity support.

Sitting on the promontory watching the archetypal waves roll in with the political tide I have a different perspective than most on this thread. They are scaffolding into our meme. To put it another way for them..it's a trap. But this trap frees them from their previous meme. Jack is on his way out. He knows it. He has been reviewing his life's work. His children, undoubtedly dear to him and he having molded their ethics and morality constructs to some degree as their father is watching his children's intellect and instinct towards and in favor of RP. He cannot dismiss them for they are a product of his life and carry on his name and fortune. In his manner and as honcho of many, many media and corporate big dogs this is basically a call to pull back the attack dogs. The effect of this will be for RP's message to be undiluted and the veil removed from his candidacy. Treat him right he says. Misjudging the nature of the momentum that will accrue is the error [in reality not an error] he makes. In a few more months and what looks to be covert wife type activity from his wife for RP and with the kids;)..kudos to the wives who know the subtle art of steering their hubby's to the correct decision...Jack will 'get it'. I agree with the poster he has some serious health issue. You can hear the gargle in his speech which is from blood gases that need purging which is a sign of organic failure to process waste. A man's perspective quite often changes when the grave yawns.

Here is my counter to the Jack Welch meme. Other archetypal waves that have crested here and there from Romney indicate him as VP to Ron's Presidency due to negotiations at the convention with RP winning the delegate process but only after making a deal with the Romney camp. Romney declared he has not always been a politician and has been learning and as he learned..cue the teacher RP whom he has watched admiringly at debates when Ron goes into professor lecture mode...has become more truly conservative in his viewpoint as he understands the issues. He is an easy convert to RP's positions which he can then bedrock in and have a NOBP Constitution/Liberty/Freedom platform..so to speak in any future endeavor after his VP-ship.

They made it sound as if their kids and their friends were just caught up in the latest passing trend of the youth. It was a part of what was so condescending, as if to minimize it by saying, " all the kids are doing it these days".

Anyone who thinks these two are out to help OUR LIBERTY MOVEMENT and out to help Paul win the Nom, are drinking the global elite koolaid.

They are out to usher Paul and all those with him, out the back door as quickly as they can. They only came on TV to say, it would be wise for us do not wish it hit him on the way out, in case we need favors from him later.

As if Paul even plays the greasy favors game. They don't know him at all.

These people are nuts. They think they can erase a year of marginalizing Ron, of undermining him at every turn... NOT GONNA HAPPEN!

They will suffer the consequences for their actions if Ron is not the nominee.

Memo to Jack and Suzy:
When a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same goal designed to reduce a man's chances to do his job effectivly and when such abuses are coordinated to cause failure of a man, there can be no absolvement when that man finally leaves that job.

No One But PAUL!

With all due respect, I decline your condescending request that I censor myself. I stand by every single word of my original post, in both letter & spirit.

Returning your condescension in equal measure, all I can say to this is: "You've got some Kool-Aid on your chin."

It was not my intention to be condescending. I am giving what I believe to be, constructive criticism. There a lot of non-supporters that will read these posts. It is best to always be respectful if your goal is maximize the number of votes for Ron Paul.

Jack and Suzy Welch just straight up told the establishment to take Ron Paul seriously. When Ron Paul gives his demands, Suzy says "make it happen". When Bolling says to Jack: "You want Ron Paul to step aside..." Welch leans forward and says "No ... When He decides to ... Give him what he wants" The body language and carefully selected words are very significant. When a CEO uses the phrase "make it happen" to his senior VP, he/she is not bullshitting - You better do what he says or lose your job.

Figuratively speaking ... we have entered an entirely new phrase of this race. Per Jack and Suzy Welch's statements, the establishment must stop dismissing Paul and start asking "Ok - What are you demands"

Proof that the tide is turning.

I disagree. I think when it comes to flesh and blood children that these people can be very tolerant. And these people probably keep the essence of their business dealings highly separated from their family life.

Hey, I always enjoyed seeing Jack Welch on CNBC's Squawk Box. I've always kinda liked the guy.

I might could have worded it better but he does have that look.

Bill Kristol used to be kind of nice and pleasant, even though he advocated a police state, the slaughter of millions of innocent people, and a government that fabricates enormous lies to it's people as a matter of policy.

FWIW, I never liked Kristol. lol...

Glass half-empty: This is a blatant attack on making RP seem already out of the race and it a clear grab at his supporters. It is in so many ways despicable.

Glass half-full: The very reason that an interview like this exists shows that we are POWERFUL! We have come so far, so fast that we are now a truly vital part of the Political system. In the same way that in a political nomination, people would in the past appeal to the pro-life vote or the gay vote because they were small groups with the power to win/lose elections, we now wield that power. With it we can make some serious change.

And that change is truly founded in NO ONE BUT PAUL. Because unlike other movements, we are not going to aknowledge pandering. We are not going to compromise. We have been led out of the darkness by Ron Paul, know what true liberty looks and sounds like, and we will accept no substitutes. This will become more and more common as we grow even larger. We are truly winning.

Kids are all in mid/late 20's to mid 30s (can't find birth years) John, Anne, Katherine, and Mark. (Edited, they are much older, in 40's and 50's even, just FYI)

I have not been able to find twitter or facebook profiles for them so far, but I haven't looked on FB much.

Katherine is the oldest and went to DUKE and then Harvard.
John Welch (same name as father that goes by Jack), went to the University of Virginia and Illinois.
Anne went to BROWN, and then HARVARD.
Mark went to the University of VERMONT. Mark was in school as a freshman in 2001. So this is some timeframes for all.

now research it out :)

Edited: I think they are talking about SUZY'S 4 kids!

Beautiful writing. You're an uncommonly good writer. Much of what you say helps explain my belief that I do not think they are bullshitting about their children's interest and support in RP. Sadly, in a pessimistic departure from your analysis, I do think that many gangsters, mafia bosses, and mob foot soldiers go to their grave with resolve and loyalty for their brethren. I think that the Jack Welches of our world would plunge a dagger through the shoulder blades of The Revolution if it were their last deed in their God given life. And were it their implied duty. It occurs to me in this thread that no one has yet posited why Welch actually cares whether it is ultimately a Republican or a Democrat in the Oval Office. It is my guess that it makes little difference to him or his wife. Or to his community of loyalists. I wonder if this interview has nothing to do with empowering and solidifying a Republican coalition. I fear that it is far more sinister. What they may be attempting to do is neuter The Revolution and diffuse it completely, as it may pose a threat to the very power balance on this planet. And since the Revolution is rising from the perceived political right, the duty to act has fallen squarely on their shoulders. As opposed to George Soros someone else. The optimist in me hopes that, for the sake of his soul, Jack Welch is not one of the "Jack Welches of the world" and that he may be a renewed man, capable of remaining good deeds, a faith in humanity and the invisible hand of their actions. But I see every reason to mistrust his overtures. Were The Revolution not flourishing but for the sweat and toil of many, he would not give Ron Paul the time of day. We are peaceful and not vengeful. But we need not be victims. If Welch wants to join our cause, let him protest with loud enthusiasm!
