Video update: Jack Welch and wife on Fox News discussing Ron Paul

This was HUGE! Pay Attention To The Details

It is a shame that Jack and Suzy Welch did not have a more intellectual interviewer to spend their time with. This Bolling guy is simply not up to the task.

The following commentors should censor themselves if they want to attract new Ron Paul voters. (my emphasis added) I think we need to be more friendly if we want Ron Paul to win.

Jack Welch is a F&*%$king A-Hole

What a bunch of condescending bullshit!!!

... And they bring on the enfeebled Welch's well-schooled-and-prepped wife to ensure the "correct" interpretation, clarification & elaboration of what Welch has to say. ...

They call him "weirdly honest", say he cant win, has crazy ideas, but they want to "let him "save face", "have dignity".

Screw these ignorant clowns.

Information is ok, but next 2 comments are just poorly worded in my view.

Wow I actually got to see Jack this time. He looks horrible, guessing there is a major disease at work on him now.

Jack Welch also likes to have affairs and was caught in one affair that I (and the nation) are aware of. IDK if there were more. He's had four wives IIRC.

Not trying to "bust anyone's balls" for no reason here, just remember that there are A LOT of people reading. I cannot stress how important "public-relations" is to winning the nomination. (I despise corporate "PR" culture, but this is how we win)

Welch is doing this for his kids, he has nothing to gain by saying these things. To me... it looks like he has been converted. Possibly by someone reading this very thread.

ISO SailingAway (or another Mod), can we PLEASE delete all of the disgusting comments in this thread ASAP!

As for the idiots who don't see this as an epic WIN for Ron Paul, what the hell is wrong with some of you. Some of you need to seriously get a clue. This is a HUGE (I repeat, HUGE) deal.

Jack Welch (the man who saved GE and is regarded as one of the greatest CEOs of all time) and his wife (who was a former editor of the Harvard Business Review) just spent the day giving interviews with basically every major media station in America... and you what their message to the Republican Establishment was??

I'll give you a hint... it wasn't "Ron Paul should drop out" or "Ron Paul won't win"... that part of their story was cover. Their message was "BACK THE F*CK OFF Ron Paul"... or else we're shit out of luck as a party".

Honestly, how much clearer do old-establishment types like Jack and his wife need to be for some of you see understand what they're actually saying? All 4 sons = huge Ron Paul supporters... take a second and consider what that means. How many people at Jack Welch's level (re: the highest level that exists in America... a level beyond simply being a $billionaire) can claim to be the father of not just one but four enthusiastic and intelligent Ron Paul supporters!?

Think they're making him watch youtube videos at the dinner table?? Or emailing him examples of blatant media bias against Dr. Paul?? Or pointing out all the contradictions being pushed by the "mainstream" candidates?? You betcha. And that my friends, is a game changer :)

::sigh::

p.s. their sons are in their 20s... hmmm... I wonder if they might sometimes visit RPF or the DailyPaul?

Ugh.

^^^This guy gets it. Please consider the "corporate board room" culture. This is where US political power resides and when Welch talks, that power&wealth is listening.

Welch's very clear warning to the establishment (my interpretation): "You do not want the young, passionate people working against you. You do not want my children trying to defeat you, because you will lose."

This is why I love Ron Paul forums. I come in having heard little bits and pieces about this ex-CEO of GM talking trash about Ron, and then WD-NY and Deadfish blow the whole thing wide open, and I suddenly realize the true ramifications of this event.

I agree. This was awesome. And I agree with the person who said Benson's response was perfect interms of pitch and presentation.

Another thing to consider. We basically got a soft endorsement from the goalie of the defending Stanley Cup champions in the NHL and from the former CEO of General Electric, one of the most influential people in the country. And we're probably getting an official endorsement from the Governor of Maine in the next 24 hours. I get the sense that things are going to break open really fast really soon.

Hmm.....I'm going to have to go back and watch the CNN clip, the FOX clip, and the Reuters clip to analyze....

I rewatched the interview, and think it was just badly done. The column comes across much better:

Unfortunately, unless the GOP gives up it's love of big government and foreign intervention No One But Paul will still be in play.

Jack Welch is playing his role, that of negotiator. and his first offer was the convention speech. this will increase , even to the point of offering Rand VP.

but Welch has already lost; he admitted that the GOP can't win without Ron Paul support. and to him winning is everything. he would rather have a President Romney, but he would settle for a President Paul (with the house and senate to control him)

If they make Ron Paul the Fed chairman, I'll vote for the nominee. That's acceptable. :)

Give me control of a nation's money supply, and I care not who makes its laws.

With all due respect, I decline your condescending request that I censor myself. I stand by every single word of my original post, in both letter & spirit.

Returning your condescension in equal measure, all I can say to this is: "You've got some Kool-Aid on your chin."

As if Ron telling everyone to vote for Mitt Romney would work? What planet do these people live on?

Ron wouldn't dare insult his followers by telling them to support a candidate that doesn't align with our belief system.

How about respecting the man DURING the process, instead of when he decide's to get out......that would be more effective.

That's right. treat him fairly NOW and stop this crap............

Hey, I always enjoyed seeing Jack Welch on CNBC's Squawk Box. I've always kinda liked the guy.

I might could have worded it better but he does have that look.

Can Ron choke off the money supply without catching hell? I imagine the FED Chairman is an impeachable position. I don't trust the Congress. Or a RINO president.

Give me a break. In their scenario, another GOP administration would never let Ron Paul anywhere near the Fed. The other candidates may talk the talk, but they love the Fed's inflationary policies as much as, or even more than, Democrats. There's no way they could afford "War on Terror" preemptive attacks and turning the U.S. into a police state without the inflation tax.

Frankly, I don't see any of them giving Dr. Paul ANY spot anywhere in their administration. They want to kill our revolution, not legitimize it and give it a chance to grow.

And while you're at it, add this CBS clip where Jack Welch is quoted as saying he likes RP's ideals, but doesn't think he's electable,

Jack and Suzy Welch: Power couple on politics

Anyone here actually believe Welch has kids who support Ron Paul?... I'm calling BS on this one.
