I just want to say one thing about this: Donald Trump never took an oath to protect the president. It is not his responsibility to defend the president. If you look at the history, Trump is the one who has always questioned the presidents eligibility, and it does not surprise or disappoint me that he declined to defend the president at his own campaign stopl.

The president did take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. The president has deliberately chosen to violate that oath. Many times. Where are the questions about that?

They certainly don't stone people to death. Claiming that they should turn a blind eye to sin, or tacitly advocate it, is about as far from Christian doctrine as you can get.

Anyway, as far as this whole 'controversy' goes, I'd suggest that the media was actually trying to help Trump by jumping up and down over this, except they honestly seem to believe it hurts him (laughable) and Jeb and other candidates have come out to scold Trump for not dressing down the dirty peasant who dared to suggest Obama is a duplicitous rat.
