Don't know. Just reporting what others on the forums have said/speculated. Maybe a divorce or some family issue? Nothing serious I am sure. But it seems he doesn't want the position.

Besides Rand, these are all possible choices. However, I like the idea of a businessperson, like John Mackey or Peter Thiel. Business experience is important. How good are Mackey and Thiel?

It's not blasphemy at all, I prefer Buchanan much more. There's just a lack of paleo-cons out there.
