President Ron Paul Vice President options

Sorry, I meant to quote my earlier post ... John Mackey.

He'd have to move quick, he lives in Texas. Now, both can run living in the same state, but I believe they lose that state's electoral votes. That would be a huge loss, as Texas has 32 or so.

Cheney did a last minute move as well. It shouldn't be too hard.

How about Michael Scheuer? He has 22 years experience serving in the CIA and was the head of the Bin Laden Unit during the Clinton years; he is also an esteemed author. He served his country honorably and was an incredibly effective leader in the field who tracked down Bin Laden 10 times. He would really strengthen Ron Paul's foreign policy credentials in my opinion among those who consider Paul a pacifist and put some teeth and credence behind his non-interventionist views.
He would also destroy Biden in a debate on national security and I am sure could be brought up to speed on domestic issues. I would like him or the Judge to be the VP.

Anyone here remember former Congressman Paul Findley? If he was younger, what do you think?

What do folks think of Grover Norquist, the grassroots tax reform movement lobbyist? He agrees with Paul on taxes, drugs, foreign policy from recent comments. He appears to be on the outs with the GOP/neocon leadership because his tax pledge (a no-increase promise most Republicans signed onto in 2010) has emboldened tea party freshmen in Congress to not compromise with the "bipartisan" agreements to tax/spend/borrow. Norquist on the ticket would further deflate the charge that Paul is out of touch with the mainstream (Grover helped create the modern conservative mainstream).

I love the idea of winning the Whole Foods vote! John Mackey deserves serious consideration! I've know people who have worked for him who would be SO enthusiastic about campaigning for a ticket with him. His blog is legit.

I liked Hunstman as a possible Secretary of State considering his Ambassadorship and I think he can be very diplomatic in foreign relations. Then he talked smack about Ron Paul in his interview with Blitz, I mean Woof, and I had to fire him.

What about Dennis Kuncinich as VP? Has similar stances of Ron Paul and could really take away the Dems and Indies in the General. Would also show that he can really work 'across the aisle' and get things done as President. Has there ever been a split-ticket like that? It would be historic!

Walter Williams or John Mackey sound really good. WW is a bit old as well though. John Mackey would be a better choice I think in many ways.

Mackey also brings large company executive experience, fresh ideas on things like healthcare, and a well known 'green' guy too.

How can someone even fathom not picking a politician as a VP? Political suicide.
