PPP Poll (1/1/12): Paul 20%, Romney 19%, Santorum 18%

Six percent of those polled were Democrats.

Of those, 12% support Bachmann. 6% support Paul. 5% support Santorum.

So this is just a turnout election at this point. Is Paul better organized than Romney?

My hunch is that Romney's team of ex-McKinsey, Bain, Boston Group, etc consultants are probably doing things that are so far beyond anything we (and everyone save Obama) are capable of doing (in terms of efficiency, conversion tracking, cost analysis, etc.) that turn-out isn't a huge issue/worry for them.

They're machines... primary skill set = 'automating, measuring, optimizing'.

That said, while we'll never beat their 'systems' , they'll never beat our passion, intensity, commitment and will-to-win. :)

Women are killing Paul again.

M/F

Paul 25/15
Romney 17/22
Santorum 17/20

On behalf of women, I apologize. Lots of us are too busy reading Cosmo or getting manicures to actually use CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS. Meh!
(Maybe this is why I don't play nice with other women.)

In other news, this poll is certainly better than DMR's. Praying tonight as usual, visualizing a good outcome while listening to "End This War" :D

Nothing to apologize for, as a man I can tell you were no smarter than you guys

Ron has more of the young vote.

Did the poll favor young or old?

If you are 18 to 29 years old, press 1. If 30 to
45, press 2. If 46 to 65, press 3. If you are
older than 65, press 4.
18 to 29........................................................... 12%
30 to 45........................................................... 26%
46 to 65........................................................... 40%
Older than 65.................................................. 22%

@fivethirtyeight Sat: Romney 21, Paul 19, Santorum 18, Newt 14, Perry 10. Sun: Paul 21, Romney/Santorum 18, Newt 14, Perry 10

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This confirms my belief the "shock" of the santorum surge is subsiding and paul is recovering.

The only other significant drop for Ron was the 18-29 which was also %7 but nobody really gained huge amounts there. (btw, Ron losing %7 in the 18-29 range scares the shit out of me considering how much access that group has to technology)
The Kelly Clarkson ordeal probably reinforced the idea that supporting a "racist" is not done, political correctness works every time, though it's harder to enforce when casting an anonymous vote - phone polls are not anonymous.

Hey, if half of a DMR poll can be considered legitimate, then I'll go with this.

One thing is clear from these polls: old people who are not named Ron Paul suck.

But only 12% of this poll were 18-29. May have just been a bad batch. If people under 40 come out to vote, Ron will win this.
