Peter Schiff asks Walmart shoppers if they support $15/hr for Walmart workers

How does someone with absolutely zero money in their family pay for such an education? Seems like this entire system is set up so there will always be slaves and masters.

You dont need to pay for an expensive 4 year college degree. Go to a community college, get an AAS which can land you a job after only 2 years. You could go to a community college part time while working, its more than affordable and saying people cant do this is ridiculous.

You dont even have to go that far. Self learning is huge now and plenty of resources for it, read books, use websites, learn a foreign language, theres so many things you can do on your own for little to not monetary cost that can improve your chances of success. You have to do SOMETHING though and not be a constant victim of society. Even in the most oppressive societies people found ways to get ahead.

So you figured out how to live on low wages? Was there any particular strategy you came up with to do that and still afford a place to live?

See above.

What difference does it make if they get paid $5 bucks an hour, $15 bucks an hour, or $150 bucks an hour if the VALUE of each of those dollars continues to go down? I'd work for $3 bucks an hour if each Dollar I was paid was worth 10 times the current value of the Dollar.

The separation of Quantity and Value is not understood by most people.

I see that , if you have Australian minimum wage , you will not have a dollar menu , you would have a $5 menu so to speak .

First of all no one is entitled to a job. Life isn't fair. Never was, never will be, no matter how much the government steals from me to try to make it so.

Second anyone can go to tech school for 12-24 months and become an electrician/mechanic/HVAC Pro and have better skills and probably a better job than the dolts that are 100k in debt with worthless degrees from an "accredited" school.

I didn't say anyone was entitled to a job. I never said life was supposed to be fair. I never advocated government trying to spread the wealth. All I did here was to point out how the system is designed to keep the poor, poor and the rich, rich.

Believe me, I'm not crying about it. I'm not one of the poor slobs that is stuck in the perpetual rut he was born into.

The government has made people dependent on them, I agree. But no one is stuck.

See, this is one thing Peter Schiif is RIGHT!!!! about.

Actually, he is largely right in all his political opinions. And he knows how to make a point in a clever way. I like Schiff a lot.

You have a funny way of showing it. Your like the little kid who picks on his crush in elementary school.

I think total executive pay is microscopic compared to total pay of the people making less that $15 an hour. This is just a guess but I'll bet even if the upper execs worked for free you'd only be able to pay the hourly workers a few cents more per hour. Of course if that happened the upper execs would quit and the whole company would fall apart and nobody would have a job.
That's basically what PS was saying on his radio show earlier this week. He also said there is (or would shortly be) a much longer video of the day he spent at the Walmart event.

You have roommates; sometimes many. That alone is an impetus to improving one's skills so that they have the possibility of getting a better job and earning more money. Heck, they might even start their own company.

If I was self taught in welding, would you let me fix your car?

If you were skilled at it, why not? Do you honestly believe that years ago people went to frickin' SCHOOL to learn the various trades? Heck no, they didn't.

Funny how these Walmart shoppers find it unfair what Walmart pays its employees yet they still shop there.
What's that? Oh yea. Money talks bullshit walks. In this case it's walkin' right through those Walmart doors.
