Paul Ryan pitches the Ron Paul vote

It's a choice of whether to hold your nose and vote for someone who may very well lead our country to another war, or vote 3rd party and allow Obama to win and massively increase taxes, increase regulations, force the states to accept Obamacare, stack the Supreme Court with liberal judges, ban oil drilling, etc. It really shouldn't be an easy choice for anyone who believes in limited government.

I've heard you make the Supreme Court argument before but many here seem to only focus on the recent health care ruling. Clarence Thomas who is supposedly the most conservative justice, sided with the Bush administration and allowed the executive branch to continue to detain U.S. citizens (Hamdi v. Rumsfeld). And of course there are his consistently statist views regarding search and seizures.

Not to mention the fact that Bush (a Republican) appointed Bernanke, an individual that has caused more damage than 9 Supreme Court justices. Debates centered on Republican vs Democrat appointments are just as much of a waste of time as any other "lesser of the 2 evils" scenario.

Are they already trying to set the narrative that if Romney loses.. its Ron Paul and his loony supporter's fault? I thought we were insignificant, fringed supporters that are largely ignored prior to Mr. Ryan's comment.

Bet republicans are wondering why their boy is losing to Obama in electoral votes and barely tied with Obama in popular.

Ryan cannot seem to get a handle on his pathological lying. The whoppers he told in Ohio are far bigger than his marathon time, which was over an hour slower than he claimed.

Even Paul Ryan fails the challenge

"Ryan added that he considers Paul – who has not endorsed the GOP presidential ticke – a friend"

So...Paul Ryan is a friend of someone who once had his picture taken with a Klu Klux Klan leader, was supported by a brothel owner and once (allegedly) posted racist news letters!

See how that works?

Paul Ryan: "Do You Want Barack Obama To Be Reelected? Then Don't Vote For Ron Paul"

It took a while for the unspoken truth to be finally spoken, but sooner or later, it always is.

What if one wants Ron Paul to be elected? Can one vote for Ron Paul then?

5 pages of comments at the link. This one seems pretty popular:

Vote Ron Paul by staying out of debt, saving for a raniny day in anything other than Federal Reserve Notes (or other fiat), bartering and using non-institutional transaction services (Craigslist). Vote by growing your own food, producing energy and consuming less of it. Vote Ron Paul not by driving a Mini or Chevy Volt, but by fucking walking! Oil reliance - zero (apart from byproducts it took to make you a pair of shoes).

Vote Ron Paul by getting to know your neighbours, their needs and addressing them directly, not through some vulture charity. Want to help someone? Go face to face and help'em.

I'd recommend turning off the TV, but I won't. Sometimes it's best to know the enemy and to know where the sheep heard still loyal to the old regime is headed.

Vote Ron Paul by knowing your rights and standing up for them.

Vote by rejecting bullshit that pours down on you every single day of your life - an effort that requires much more than lifting a pencil and marking a box once every 4 years.

I'll at least say that Romney hasn't earned the votes of Ron Paul supporters, since he's still running on a mostly neo-conservative foreign policy and isn't very good when it comes to civil liberties. My point was simply that when I look at things objectively and look at where both candidates stand on the issues, Romney's overall views are not as bad as Obama's.

How can you begin to know what Mitt's views actually are? He's flipflopped so many times that unless you're convinced by what he says right now, he has no views that stand up to any sort of vetting or scrutiny. Same applies to Obama, who campaigned on so many promises that never materialized into action, and in most cases ended up being exactly the opposite of campaign rhetoric.

There must be a penalty for the Republican party. When they choose liberal candidates, we have to hold them accountable. If they are serious about wanting to win, then we must be as difficult to get as the "moderates" and "independents" they court every election cycle.

Some like Peter Schiff talk a lot about taking the medicine when it comes to the economy and our monetary policy, but we don't want to do it in the elections. We have to tough out many bad years of left wing policy in order to motivate people to accept freedom.

"On an issue where Ron has been particularly explicit, the Federal Reserve is yet again trying to bail out the fact that Obama, President Obama has failed on fiscal policy," Ryan said. "All of this money printing, which is coming from the Federal Reserve, risks debasing our currency. It risks undermining the value of our dollar, it risks increasing prices on things like food and gas. And among the things that the government can do to harm its people, one of the worst things is to debase its currency. "

We are supposed to believe that Mr Ryan is concerned about money printing and the debasement of the currency? Was this new found concern before or after wanting to continue the wars, start new ones, voting for TARP and medicare part D among many, many other big spending, big government programs?

Oh thats right, your just full of shit and pandering to get votes. Got news for you Mr. Ryan, we don't fall for that crap.

Want our vote in the future? Its easy, actually vote like a conservative.

During the entire primary season, we were told:

That our votes didn't matter
That our delegates didn't matter
That our ideas didn't matter
That we were not Republicans

And they have the nerve to now ask for our votes?

Perhaps if our votes had been counted fairly
Perhaps if our delegates had not been cheated in both state conventions and the RNC
Perhaps if our ideas had been listened to and considered
Perhaps if we had been welcomed as Republicans, rather than excluded

Then maybe, just maybe, they could legitimately try to pander to us.
Sorry, mitt. Perhaps you, your lawyers, and the RNC should have all thought of this a long time ago. You made your choices, and dug your own hole. It's too late to ask for my vote, because no way in hell am I ever going to give it to you. It's not me that can be blamed for obomba winning, YOU spent the whole primary season TRYING to lose the general election, by the actions noted above. A vote for obomney is a vote for obomney, and I won't vote for either. Unless he endorses a 3rd party candidate (as he did in 2008), I'm writing in Ron Paul. You obviously didn't learn this lesson back in 2008, so we'll just keep repeating the lesson until you catch on: freedom is popular, and we want our Constitution back.

If we're so close to falling off the edge of the cliff and don't think Romney would be able to stop it, I'd rather see Obama in a second term so it happens on his watch. If it happened under Romney, they'd just start blaming capitalism all over again.

I may vote for Obama to inflict maximum damage on the GOP. Seriously considering it. Seems like a strategically good move anyway if we want the barn door left open for Rand in 2016.

It is so arrogant to think the GOP and Romney would even entertain the idea that Paul's supporters would help them when they basically sh*t all over PAUL. There has never been a better time for the American people to show their displeasure, and open a real door for a third party to join the dynamic. This could be the trigger that finally gives a third party a leg up into the arena.

Except that Rand will have to run on a platform of upholding Obamacare, since by then it will be a popular law that Americans will have grown accustomed to. It will be like Medicare and Social Security.
