Paul Ryan pitches the Ron Paul vote

It's a choice of whether to hold your nose and vote for someone who may very well lead our country to another war, or vote 3rd party and allow Obama to win and massively increase taxes, increase regulations, force the states to accept Obamacare, stack the Supreme Court with liberal judges, ban oil drilling, etc. It really shouldn't be an easy choice for anyone who believes in limited government.

I've heard you make the Supreme Court argument before but many here seem to only focus on the recent health care ruling. Clarence Thomas who is supposedly the most conservative justice, sided with the Bush administration and allowed the executive branch to continue to detain U.S. citizens (Hamdi v. Rumsfeld). And of course there are his consistently statist views regarding search and seizures.

Not to mention the fact that Bush (a Republican) appointed Bernanke, an individual that has caused more damage than 9 Supreme Court justices. Debates centered on Republican vs Democrat appointments are just as much of a waste of time as any other "lesser of the 2 evils" scenario.

I'll at least say that Romney hasn't earned the votes of Ron Paul supporters, since he's still running on a mostly neo-conservative foreign policy and isn't very good when it comes to civil liberties. My point was simply that when I look at things objectively and look at where both candidates stand on the issues, Romney's overall views are not as bad as Obama's.

How can you begin to know what Mitt's views actually are? He's flipflopped so many times that unless you're convinced by what he says right now, he has no views that stand up to any sort of vetting or scrutiny. Same applies to Obama, who campaigned on so many promises that never materialized into action, and in most cases ended up being exactly the opposite of campaign rhetoric.

There must be a penalty for the Republican party. When they choose liberal candidates, we have to hold them accountable. If they are serious about wanting to win, then we must be as difficult to get as the "moderates" and "independents" they court every election cycle.

Some like Peter Schiff talk a lot about taking the medicine when it comes to the economy and our monetary policy, but we don't want to do it in the elections. We have to tough out many bad years of left wing policy in order to motivate people to accept freedom.

We are supposed to believe that Mr Ryan is concerned about money printing and the debasement of the currency? Was this new found concern before or after wanting to continue the wars, start new ones, voting for TARP and medicare part D among many, many other big spending, big government programs?

Oh thats right, your just full of shit and pandering to get votes. Got news for you Mr. Ryan, we don't fall for that crap.

Want our vote in the future? Its easy, actually vote like a conservative.

During the entire primary season, we were told:

That our votes didn't matter
That our delegates didn't matter
That our ideas didn't matter
That we were not Republicans

And they have the nerve to now ask for our votes?

Perhaps if our votes had been counted fairly

Perhaps if our ideas had been listened to and considered

Sorry, mitt. Perhaps you, your lawyers, and the RNC should have all thought of this a long time ago. You made your choices, and dug your own hole. It's too late to ask for my vote, because no way in hell am I ever going to give it to you. It's not me that can be blamed for obomba winning, YOU spent the whole primary season TRYING to lose the general election, by the actions noted above. A vote for obomney is a vote for obomney, and I won't vote for either. Unless he endorses a 3rd party candidate (as he did in 2008), I'm writing in Ron Paul. You obviously didn't learn this lesson back in 2008, so we'll just keep repeating the lesson until you catch on: freedom is popular, and we want our Constitution back.

It is so arrogant to think the GOP and Romney would even entertain the idea that Paul's supporters would help them when they basically sh*t all over PAUL. There has never been a better time for the American people to show their displeasure, and open a real door for a third party to join the dynamic. This could be the trigger that finally gives a third party a leg up into the arena.

Except that Rand will have to run on a platform of upholding Obamacare, since by then it will be a popular law that Americans will have grown accustomed to. It will be like Medicare and Social Security.
