LIVE STREAM: Kaine/Pence Vice Presidential Debate

Tonight we will finally have the long-awaited Tim Kaine–Mike Pence showdown we’ve been waiting for. The debate will take place from the campus of Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia.

The event will be moderated by CBS News’ Elaine Quijano, though all major networks (NBC, CBS, ABC, PBS, CNN, Fox News, Fox Business, CNBC, MSNBC, Univision, and C-SPAN) will be carrying the event live beginning at 9 p.m. EST. Unlike the primary debates which were sponsored and organized by a major broadcast network each time, the general election events are put together by the bipartisan Commission on Presidential Debates, allowing all network equal access to the broadcasting rights.

The event goes from 9 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. with no commercial interruptions, and will be broken down into nine 10-minute segments spanning a wide variety of topics up to Quijano’s choosing. Responses will largely be two minutes in length, allowing ample time for follow-up and discussion on each topic.

Just got home. Starting right where the broadcast is. Side by side, Mike Pence is way more camera friendly Perfect suit, brilliant white shirt, blue tie, snow white hair. Kaine looks washed out and not quite sharp. Talks a little goofy, too.

Discussing Syrian refugees: Kaine claims it is unconstitutional to deny entrance to people based on blah, blah, blah. I wonder how he would explain the fact that no Syrian Christians are included in this refugee program, even though they are the ones under threat?
