just thinking, how legitimate are these numbers. seeing as anyone can write down any employer when donating. i dont mean to imply anything, just saying these aren't really official. other candidates could say, well a whole bunch of ron paul supporters couldve just lied and put us army as their employer on purpose when donating. i dont think this is the case but my point is that we would have no argument against it

I could say the same thing for any other candidates' supporters. I could say that some of Obama's supporters wrote US Army/Navy etc. instead of their proper employment to bump up his numbers a bit. Besides, they have to have their names and information.

I think you are worrying a bit too much here...

Wouldn't that be fraud, though? If that allegation were to be launched, the Paul could just reply "prove it." I don't see it as a problem however. How many times has Paul led before and never faced trouble?

I know, but I feel like we are the only ones who brag about getting donations from any one group in particular, so we are more vulnerable. I will still spread the numbers far and wide.

I would hope that supporters of Dr. Paul, one of the few honest men in politics, would have more integrity than that.

Wait, so, we have 2-3 times as much as all other Presidential candidates combined?

Still no Bachmann. Why I am not surprised, she and her campaign are inept.

maybe thats bachmanns announcement today, she raised 9 million!!!! haha idk how that would fire up the race but remembering the first half of the quarter she was top tier and everythign was about her, i'd say its possible shes around 6-7 million.

I would like for her to rise more than Cain, but not come close to Paul. Like 3.1 million. :p

These are the totals I reached:
RON PAUL $69,590.53
Others COMBINED: $21,820.00
Mitt Romney $7,855.00
Rick Perry $7,825.00
Herman Cain $3,140.00
Jon Huntsman $1,250.00
Gary Johnson $1,000.00
Rick Santorum $500.00
Thaddeus McCotter $250.00

But I don't trust my math, either. Anyone also calculated everything?

If we could say he raised over 3 times as much and all the other GOP candidates and twice as much as Obama, that would be amazing.

I only got 60k for Paul, in fact all my totals were lower than yours. I am guessing you including reserves, national guard. Technically these are not active duty UNLESS they are currently called up, which we have no way of knowing.

Here's my list. I'll let you guys be the judge on whether or not all of these should qualify. I'm not sure on a few, such as "PROFESSIONAL SOLUTIONS/USMC MARSOC" (is that a private contractor for the USMC or something?) and "DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE ARMY SPACE AN" (huh?) and "HILL AIR FORCE BASE"

Missed some:

USN 1,940.00 (That's probably US Navy, right?)
DOD/USN 1,138.90

New total: $65,846.36

My employer is DOD/USN and my occupation is listed as Military. The Military more accurately falls under the DOD. USN is the abbreviation for US Navy.
