Tax cuts vs tax hikes for the wealthy seems to be the dividing line that I see. Increased vs decreased military spending is getting an airing. Social vs corporate welfare, socialism vs serfdom, the typical lesser of 2 evils.

Really, they're both for bigger gov't and neither one will cut spending, but that's only obvious is you're not in a party bubble.

And I agree. The conventions were a huge waste of $50 million.

That's a way too complicated subject to boil down to that statement. He (Mujahadeen) was funded by us against the Soviets in Afghan but also comes from a very rich family, that happens to be very friendly with the Bushes, so his funding could have come from his own family at the behest of CIA connections (also very friendly with the Bushes). There's a lot of other scenarios too. Im not convinced OBL wasn't simply an imaginary boogeyman used to scapegoat the biggest fed.gov expansion since the New Deal.
