Official CNN Tea Party Express Debate Thread

TRUTH!!!

This is why so many of us love Paul. Don't overestimate how many were booing. For every boo in the audience, there are 2 people watching who agree and are amazed that someone is speaking the truth.

Right. I also suspect that some who weren't that familiar with Ron were impressed that he pressed on with his point, in spite of the live crowd reaction. The average politician would've back-pedaled.

I just wish he would have been more concrete, talk about what he would have done differently during 9/11, and stay away from quoting the perceived enemies.

Glad he talked about the civilians we've killed though, nobody else would have the fucking balls to say that for a national audience.

But, Ron is Ron. We'll see if there's any blowback from this, hopefully he'll get plenty of post-debate time.

I think a mic just caught Dr Paul saying "I've had worse..." to Newt and could see Newt looking at him smiling ...I am pretty sure they were joking about the boos during Dr Pauls foreign policy rap.

While I agree with Ron on these foreign policy issues, I still think that he needs to work at refining his message. He needs to focus more on the costs of our intervention overseas rather than the "blowback" theory. Unfortunately, that theory offends a lot of people.

If I remember correctly, it was hearing Ron Paul speak in 2007 about the motivation of the terrorists that piqued my interest and got me on board.

I think Ron's answer was great. Don't get discouraged guys - this realistic logic is exactly what led me to Ron to begin with and is why I will continue to support him. To ignore the attacker when they tell you specifically why they attacked is just childish, stupid, and embarrassing.

Before they switched off the audio on the stream, Blitzer said to Perry, "You did an great job."

So much for being fair...

Ron should have made a joke of Santorum in his response. "Well Senator, last election cycle someone else said this to me and I gave them a reading list. I'm thinking that you could benefit from the same one"... And then on to Schuerer and the 9/11 Commission.
