Official CNN Tea Party Express Debate Thread

Unreal

Ron Paul was right but it was poorly delivered. He needs to have answers like that ready to roll off in a heartbeat! That was a lay-up that he missed.

Overall this was the worst debate in CNNs history. Glad Perry got the smackdown, but this was media bias at its worst. I am writing a scathing letter to CNN over this. He answered what? 3 questions??? Are you freaking kidding me?? He is polling 3rd according to CNN and Jon Huntsman gets more play?????

F**K CNN and F**K this DEBATE!!!

I agree. Ron Paul did great. His answers were perfect. Just because the audience booed does not mean he did bad. 70%+ of America wants us out of the wars. Booing is fine by me

He did great until he started quoting Bin Laden. Then he self-destructed.

Best debate so far for Ron, he was great, but he needs to understand he doesn´t need to quote Bin Laden or Al Qaeda to make his case about foreign policy. It's a very bad decision of his to keep saying that.

The answer about 9/11 was a good one. It reminded me why I was drawn to RP in the first place. We need to face some hard truths if this country expects to have a future.

And I wouldn't even consider citing bin laden's stated grievances as that hard of a truth. It just doesn't fit people's illusions. America has got to get past the illusions.

Ron Paul: "We've been bombing & killing...thousands of Iraqis." Crowd boos. He adds. "If you're not annoyed...something wrong."

allahpundit RT @philipaklein: Ron Paul's hatred of Israel really came out in that answer. He tried to backtrack, but we know where he stands

Yawn, nobody cares about Santorum. Ron will get more chances to elaborate on FP, you aren't going to change any minds in 30 seconds anyway. I think he did a very nice job tonight, miles better than last time.

+ rep

If I remember correctly, it was hearing Ron Paul speak in 2007 about the motivation of the terrorists that piqued my interest and got me on board.

The video of him talking about that was one of the main ones that "sold" me on him as well. Wish he had delivered better this time around but I think he still got his point across.

Yeah, I caught that. Also, after Dr. Paul was skipped on the Federal Reserve question, Newt leaned over and was saying a lot to Dr. Paul.

I thought that may have been because RP didn't fully hear the "how much of my money should I keep" question

Maybe those idiots in the crowd oughtta look at things through the other people's eyes. You know because that's what growth as a human being is all about - trying to understand the motivation and perspective of others, not just your own.

This country needs to grow the fuck up. This isnt 1900 where were have the "White Man's Burden"

Ron Paul is the Mark Twain of our time.

This is terrible. I am seething. Wolf Blitzer is a liar. I wish people could see the level of corruption going on. Our founding fathers would be at the door with rifles if they were still around.
