Official 11.11.11 Planning Thread - 17,000 Pledges - Decentralize Facebook Promotion

Just tell them that this is what it's about. We support them now by donating to Ron Paul so he can bring them home later.

I've posted the moneybomb hundreds of places. Some people post and tell me why they don't like the theme and others just ignore it. I talk to the ones that actually post, but I know there are a lot that think the theme is too pro-war and just won't click or sign up or comment. Just saying.

Interestingly enough the most clicks I'm getting is from my ad that targets people who "like" Obama! Guys this is truly amazing! I'll post some screenshots of the ads and the stats and start a chipin later today (little Halloween hungover at present)!

We’re starting fresh on suggestions with the start of the new show! With this format, guest interviews will be separate videos on the same YouTube channel and can be as long or as short as they need to be! When any guest gets 100 votes, they’ll be taken off the list, I’ll send an email and make a phone call, and it’s up to them to respond. If they get to 100 votes before they respond, I’ll contact them again. It’s that simple. With topic suggestions, I’ll try to cover every topic that gets to 300, and take them down when I do. When you are suggesting guests, please only include the first and last name so it displays properly. Long suggestions will automatically be truncated.

Perhaps we could all do a suggestion bomb to get someone on to talk about the upcoming moneybomb: http://www.adamvstheman.com/suggestions

Adam Kokesh is a libertarian and well-versed in Austrian Economics. He is a veteran himself who is against the war and he supports Ron Paul so he is kinda ideal really.

The major factor is that he attracts a large audience a sizeable proportion of which are libertarians and Ron Paul supporters.

Really? I wish I knew how many of them actually signed up for the moneybomb! Maybe I should switch my ads.

Post some screenshots or links? Who thinks it is pro-war?

Did they read any of the text? The text is part of understanding the theme.

The nice thing about doing Pay-Per-Click vs Pay-Per-Impression is I can run as many ads as I want on my ad campaign. I only pay if someone clicks it, therefore I can target dozens of interests groups and see which ones are actually clicking. As of right now the most clicks is for people who like Ron Paul and the second is for people who like Barack Obama.

Market research has shown that people are more likely to do something that lots of people are already doing. Since we can have 5000 people per event I'm suggesting that we click 'attending' on each others events until we have a few hundred thus increasing the chances that people who visit our events will also take it seriously.

Here is my event: https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=141241559309349

Post yours and I will attend.

For bto we invited meetup groups by member count
For the libertyPAC bomb we invited groups by state

I've gone thru and suggested moneybomb events in all the new england states already

Argh, I'm not posting any personal msgs people sent me. Here's an example of one public:

Here's what people see when you post the link to the moneybomb site:

In general, people don't read the fine print to see what a site is about. Anyway, it is what it is now, too late to change. We'll just soldier on with what we have.

Do you know if there are any plans to make the pledge counter update or to get any sort of analytics on the site?

Attended yours. Also I added a chipin to my blog. Haven't really posted on it since January but I figured it was as good a place as any to put the chipin html code. I'm going to use the money to raise the pay-per-click bid to $1.50 from $1 and extend the budget of the campaign from $100 to $400. Any help is appreciated! http://mikezentz.com

Facebook gives you more impressions if your click bid is higher. That way if someone clicks they get the higher bid. If we had more time I would only bid like $0.40-0.75, but since the MoneyBomb is so close I want to get the most impressions between now and then.

I added two more icons for use in these instances. One says "Bring Them Home," the other says "End the Wars." They already appear when you click the Share button on the website, and should appear soon when you paste the link on Facebook somewhere.

This thread has gotten 2,646 views, let's turn those views into pledges on supportthemnow.com! Having 2000+ pledges will go a long way towards getting non - RonPaulForums visitors to pledge.
