Lets Get a List of Candidates Going

thanks for sharing.

Moll not enough info. FOREIGN POLICY, war on drugs, against Patriot act, something to set her about from any other candidate.

The issues she does mention marriage and abortion should be left to states, so I need something on her that shows she is not just another neocon.

well.. from her blog n speeches shes against cap n trade, against government run healthcare (noting how ineffective the government is at everything, and how we need less government not more, how they need to get out of the way and let capitalism work).. how the government needs to have a balanced budget, how congressmen need to read the bills, how we're losing our civil liberties, pro gun rights, etc.

however, didn't find anything on the points you made- I'm going to email her on these specific topics directly and get the info needed to decide whether she goes on the list..

from all the hit pieces against her from both sides of the aisle plus the source of most of her campaign contributions, i personally know shes not a bought n paid for neocon.. although, i COMPLETELY understand the skepticism.. will return when i get an email response..

Tom Emmer for Minnesota Governor

A good number of those on his campaign staff are Ron Paul supporters, and I've heard him speak at length both on the issues and the 'business' of politics. He has my personal endorsement. He's also signed the Republican Minnesota Liberty Caucus' "Liberty Compact" document, and he scored a strong second place finish in the MNGOP state convention straw poll last week, beating Pat Anderson. He's introduced several pieces of legislation to take back power from the Federal government, both on health care (he authored it 2 years ago but it's getting real attention now) and on gun rights.

Friends in the Revolution,

In 2008 I was endorsed by Ron Paul to run for U.S. Congress.

I'm currently forming an exploratory committee so we can actually WIN in 2010!

These videos are representative of what the freedom movement means to me....

TAX DAY 2008 - Washington D.C. Freedom Rally
back when I was first running for office... who runs for office? they must be crazy!
YouTube - Freedom Rally - David Gay

TEA PARTY 2009 - Tax Day in Syracuse, NY
A similar speech, except I wasn't running for office...plus there were a few new issues on my mind.
I also mention our current Congressman at the beginning... The one I'm running against in 2010
I'm clearly ticked off in this one... I hate when people lie to me!
YouTube - David A. Gay ran for Congress last year - speach at Tea Party

TEA PARTY 2009 - Tax Day - Evening in Liverpool, NY
Same speech as the A.M. rally, except I've calmed down a little... the earlier sunlight must have had me all fired up! (not to mention the fact that we were at the Federal Building!)

YouTube - The Problem with Progressives - Tea Party at Longbranch Park Apr15 2009

WEEKEND AFTER G20 SUMMIT - Albany, New York
My ideas on Civil Liberty, Economy, and the Constitution
I've calmed down a bit in this one... but that doesn't mean I've stopped caring!

You need to REMOVE this guy from the list:
Jesse Kelley-AZ-8th

He is pro-war, supports the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and calls for more troops in Afghanistan. There was a video of him on Freedom Watch, preaching about how we must win the war in Afghanistan, more troops etc. etc. He does claim to be "Libertarian," but his site includes no Libertarian values, and nothing really about eliminating specific government departments. If he atleast had something on his website about Abolishing the Fed, or the Dep. of Education, or repealing the Patriot Act, I would give him the benefit of the doubt, but he says none of this.

Jesse Kelly is clearly a typical Conservative, and not a Libertarian.

UH OH!

I want my freedom candidates list restricted to people who are actually in the freedom movement!

I trust Adam Kokesh.. I trust Peter Schiff... and I trust Rand Paul...

I also trust other's who are c4l members deciding to run... But just finding candidates who are supposedly out there running on our platform seems a little risky.

You guys are right, I thought about that after seeing the Freedom Watch segment, he is toast!

I like him, what have you heard about Pat Anderson? How does she stack up.? I watched her in a debate and went through site, she looks like a good candidate.

I think Pat is a good candidate too, but I'm not 100% convinced that she's not just riding the Ron Paul wave, where Emmer has a good voting record to show that he's been voting where his mouth is. (Anderson, to her credit, did close down her own department in the MN govt to save money, essentially putting herself out of a job.)

I think that the Ron Paul people are fairly evenly split on support for Anderson and support for Emmer. I think there's a little more fire and personality under Emmer, and he'll need that he'll need in the coming fight between the states and the federal govt.

For what it's worth, Emmer did get a strong 2nd place finish in the straw poll at the MNGOP state convention, while Anderson basically tied for 3rd. So he is able to talk to and convince a growing number of the party 'old guard' which is important.

anyone got anymore for me or what? As always the sticking point is foreign policy. I even had a candidate for Senate from Nevada, email me back on the foreign policy issue.

She is all about the Constitution on all these hot issues, but said what she thought about whether to go into Iraq did not matter and what did was what to do now.

So we are going to see all kind of economic Constitution followers, but when it comes to declaring wars, they will be MIA
