Just got off the phone with HQ

It's amazing how some of you people think you can make demands from the campaign for an official recount. Get off your lazy ass and contact the New Hampshire State Elections Board and request it yourself. This should be decided by the people of New Hampshire whether or not they feel their vote has been counted properly. Spamming the campaign with the same questions is a waste of time, energy and resources that could be used elsewhere.

Call this number ->(603) 271-3658 and let the attorney general of New Hampshire know that we see what is going on and that it is unacceptable.

yeh, what he said.

Dr. Paul isn't stupid, he will handle this, but his campaign can't be part of calling out this fraud.

Luckily he has die hard grass roots supporters that don't need his direction. At least, I hope he does.
i think there is a lot of truth here. By us, the grassroots asking for a recount, we give Ron Paul the ability on air to not appear to be spouting 'sour grapes', a term which is usually spouted by those judged to be the 'winner'.

Especially since there is no way in hell voter fraud could account for the deficit that kept Paul out of first place.

i think a recount is a ridiculous idea. I knocked on hundreds of doors in NH, the results are accurate based on my own experience.

Frantic extremist attitudes won't get us anywhere.

HQ is right, the blow back would be significant. Even if our votes were minimized some, adding more of the real (possibly discounted votes) would probably put us just above 4th place.

Recount is a waste of time and energy and will make RP out to be a cry baby loser on the fringe. What is the best that could come out of a recount? RP moves up to 4th place? Big deal? Let's move on to the next round and get ready for the BIG contest on Feb. 5

Well, HQ needs to do something. If they're not going to investigate fraud then they need to do something else, other than the status quo. They should have dumped at least $5 million into an early state and spent time there with the non-Ron Paul supporters. NH would have been perfect for that but I've heard they only spent $250k (on this forum, not verified) and spent most of their time visiting existing supporters. Either there's vote fraud or the campaign is totally ineffective. If they don't shake things up in some way, then I backed the wrong candidate (although it's not like there were any other choices). I love almost all of Ron Paul's stated positions, but I've always had the feeling that he doesn't really want to be president and he'd be just fine with losing. Well, I'm not in my 70s, I have to live through the coming hell. This was our nation's last shot. For my $1000, I want them to try something different for a change. They certainly won't get another dime from me if they don't show that they understand the need for a change.

Here's a question for you all: Can grassroots even pay for a recount or would it have to come from a campaign that was on the ballet?

What's the law in NH?

I seriously question the authenticity of the results. Iowa, sure, it was a religious stronghold. But how in the hell did NH go so completly to the statists? We should have at least beat Guilanai, and quite likely came in third.

If Ron doesn't want a recount, then personally the matter is dropped. Yet I can't understand why he doesn't. Particularly if there are known anomolys with the count. Perhaps we shall have to look very far ahead for the revolution. It won't dissapear, we will just have to adopt a new tactic.

Even while the vote goes on, we need to start working our way into the party infrastructure. It's that, an alliance with the Libertarians (who are essentialy the same as us, in fact many Paul supporters probably are libertarians anyways) or strike out to form a Constitution party. Ron has my vote, even if it means a write in, yet if they won't count our votes, he won't win. Vote anyway, I'll be damned before throwing away my vote on a Imperialist that will draft my son one day to fight his pointless wars of expansion.

First, you have to understand that NH is a pretty independant state, but for this year, the indepandants chose not to trust anyone with an (R). You lost that vote to the (D), mostly to Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

Second, NH is no longer a "Libertarian paradise." It's more like Boston North North. The FSP has failed, really.. and is generally more hype than progress. Since they came in, Libertarians have started exiting state politics. Correlation does not equal causation, as that can be linked to people from Mass pushing north, but it's not that much as it stands.

Third, NH wasn't big ANYWAY. It's a rather small state as states go. Percentage wise, it's under half a percent of the US population.. and so as someone said earlier , saying it's the biggest Libertarian state in the nation is like saying it's the biggest hill in Kansas.

Yes. There should be a recount if the people of New Hampshire request one.

No, The official RP campaign should not pay 63K for a recount, or demand one. That's absurd.

It should be free of charge since they made the mistake in the first place.

If anything we should get a 31% discount for the 31 Ron Paul votes that were unaccounted for in Sutton.

Either that, or... we could go in 50/50 with the Obama people for a full state-wide recount, because in my view he was also was cheated. :D

You have to see the risks! Vote fraud is a serious accusation. I don't think the evidence is strong enough to proof a significant "misscount".

There are several ways to make us look bad.

1) There is no fraud to begin with.
2) The recounts shows that we have 50 votes more. It's insignificant and will be "human mistakes".
3) There is vote fraud, but those who recount are the same, so we never find out.

All this will make us look like a stupid, conspiracy fanatic, fringe campaign of sore loser.

This is the truth of the matter here and something Mr. Menthol Patch needs to be sure and read (sorry i didn't go through all 14 pages to check)

If the campaign issues a press release calling for a recount, it will hurt us TREMENDOUSLY! It will hurt anyone that tries to grow support for our ideals. We need individuals in NH that witnessed the misscount to come forward, get legal representation, bring a case against the NH GOP.

If the MSM ties this to Ron Paul in any way shape or form it is GAME OVER! Our enemies WANT HIM TO DO THIS. They want him to challange an insignificant amount of votes, not even enough to get us 1 delegate, so they can plaster Ron Paul and his supporters as weak sore LOSERS!!

Please I would ask all supporters upset about the voting fraud to calm down, and look at the situation in full view. Have patience and trust in the campaign. Do not blow your tops and cause more harm to the campaign than your good intentions wish.

The way to do this is not to come out as "Ron Paul Supporters", but as voters and individuals concerned about the integrity of this election.

We are not crybabies.

We are concerned about the vote count. It may have not affected just us, but other candidates such as Obama as well.

So while blasting the story across the internet, be sure to include other candidates, have specific proof (I like the screenshots showing CNN at 0 votes and the other site corrected, for verification) and others will join the train.

Just my .04 (Adjusted for inflation)

i don't know whether a recount would substantially change Dr Paul's numbers or his standing. but there is substantial circumstantial evidence that things went wrong.

PARTICULARLY on the Dem side! getting 38.8 to 34.7 in hand-counted ballots and 35.8 to 40.1 in machine-counted ballots is a serious statistical problem. and it would have a VERY LARGE IMPACT on the race. add into the mix the polls going into NH and everyone scratching their heads today about what in world caused Clinton to pull such a big upset.....

i think we should be contacting the Obama campaign and ask them to join with the Paul campaign to ask, if not for a full recount, at least a random audit of 5-10% of the precincts. from what i've read, only official candidates can challenge results and/or request recounts (could be wrong, but i read that somewhere).

Obama's campaign HQ: (866) 675-2008

i called. i asked if they were considering asking for a recount. he said no, it didn't seem like a big deal and they didn't want to seem like sore losers. i started talking about the discrepancies and he said, "you mean the difference between the exit polls and the actual tallies?" i said, "no, i mean the difference between the hand-counted votes and the machine-counted votes. the hand-counted votes put obama clearly in the lead." he said, "really??! this is the first i've heard of this." i told him i was a paul supporter and that i thought it might be good if the two campaigns teamed up to do something and he got real enthusiastic and said he would pass the info on. i also gave him the url: http://ronrox.com/paulstats.php

honestly... i would rather hillary get the nom, because she would be way easier to take down in the general, but right is right and wrong is wrong.
