Introduce yourself! Who, What, Where, Why!

My name is Dave and I have launched a website http://www.envirosafeshop.com/myweb/ronpaul.htm called U.S. and World for Ron Paul with a theme and concept which I have not seen yet. This is about encouraging different types of groups for Ron Paul such as Motorcyclists, Polce, Firefighters, Small Busines Owners, Troops and Veterans, Airplane Owners etc. to form their own local, state or naional website and meetup.com groups. We also have a meetup group accessible from the website. Any links to this is appreciated.

Greetings! My name is Abdul. I'm a British (Muslim) born and educated in the UK with parents from Bangladesh. I'm a graduate in Aerospace Engineering/Space Studies and worked as a propulsion engineer with a NASA subcontractor and also did some consulting with the European Space Agency. Besides the Liverpool and London (UK), I've lived in the Wyoming (USA), Strasbourg (France) and Dhaka (Bangladesh) and visited over ten other nations.

Policy decisions made by the US President affect all of us around the world (as Helen, above pointed out) which is why I take a great deal of interest in US Presidential politics. When I came to hear of Dr. Ron Paul's policy, I could not believe I was listening to a US politician. What a breath of fresh air! Dr. Paul is the only sane option for Americans but also the world at large.

I wish the best of luck to our American friends.

Hey! I am Matt. I'm 24 from Oregon.

I used to consider myself a democrat. After the 2006 election-inaction, and actions of Kucinich to impeach Cheney got shut down, I began to see the homogeneous of the top candidates from both parties.

So, I just started looking all my choices republican or democrat. I got interested in Paul, did more research on him and his "crazy, radical, kooky" ideas, and loved them. I donated on DEC 16th and intend to again. Here I am! :D

My name is Tom and I live with my family in New Hampshire. I've obviously new to this forum but have been supporting Ron Paul since the spring of 2007.

My name is Alan, I'm 21 and living in Virginia. As a paid job I am a web developer. In my free time I develop games, and play guitars and drums. My interests in politics have only become serious since I graduated high school. I was brought into the libertarian train of thought (or more accurately, found the more fitting name for my positions) by John Stossel's two books, "Give Me A Break!" and "Myths, Lies & Downright Stupidity." I began to support Fred Thompson and not long after I discovered Ron Paul and switched to supporting him instead.

New RP supporter

Hi, my name is John. I am a veteran and work for the Federal Reserve <-----yes, you read that right. As a result I will not give my full name for fear of blow back. I am also a full time single parent and don't have much time to support Dr. Paul. I give what I can. I very much like what he is saying and believe his record backs it up. I thank you all for creating this forum and all the work put into spreading the word. On my vacation, I drove through New Hampshire. What struck me was lots of McCain + Hillary signs half-buried by the snow plows. Also there were other candidates signs peppered in as well. ALL the Ron Paul signs were above the snow and proudly displayed. Someone went out after/during the storm - yeah! Anyway, glad to be here,
John :)

from Wisconsin

My husband and I both love Ron Paul. We are both 31 and have 2 kids. I think if there is any hope for their future, something needs to change soon. Ron Paul is the man who can do it. We have been going door to door and joined the meet up group. Recently our meet up group has been making snowmen with Snowmen for Ron Paul signs. We also talk about him so constantly, I think people are beginning to think we're obsessed.

Howdy from Idaho

My name is Jeff,

I had to stop lurking and join. Made a Tea party contribution and will make more as funds allow.

I am guilty of being so passionate about Paul for President that it can turn people off :( typically the...how should I say this "pro current foreign policy" types ;)

Here in Boise Paul is the only signage I see, some of it grassroots.

that's it for now

Hi I am Danny Pham from Irvine, CA. Currently unemployed byproduct of the mortgage meltdown .. but I did manage to donate to the cause during the Tea Party. I'd give a lot more if I was still working. I flip-flopped a few times b/t dems and reps YEARS back but since then have not voted for the longest time cause I thought politics was just a big joke. Then I saw Ron Paul - A New Hope on youtube and was hooked. You can just tell when someone is speaking the truth and from the heart. I've learned so so much since then . I'm appalled at the state of affairs our country is in but I have so much hope for Ron Paul and The Revolution!

Hi, My name is Jon Lauro from Philadelphia, PA. I am s senior in High School, who has donated over 200$ to Ron Paul. I converted my household to Ron Paul supporters and Ron Paul has inspired me to go on and presue a political career. I am in this for the long run, Win of Lose.

Newbie here, but not to RP (I have lurked here often, though). I have been involved since early spring. I spend my time on various mothering message boards where I've been a long time member, converting and waking up as many people as possible. I'm also involved w/my local meetup group. I've written a few articles on associatedcontent.com as well. I've loved RP since the very moment I heard him speak. In my eyes, there is no other current option and he far surpasses the other candidates morally and intellectually. I simply can't imagine why other Americans aren't as in love with him as I am.

Well, thanks for having me!

ETA- I'm a VA homeschooling mom of 3. I've always been interested govt, my major was govt & politics. Age 33, voted for Clinton then voted for Bush (while holding my nose). I'm so happy to have a real optiont his election!

Greetings my fellow Paulites,

I am aspiring 28-year old Indiana author/artist A A Wulf. I'm sure none of you have heard of me yet, but give it a few years. ;-)

In any event, I just joined the Ron Paul bandwagon a few weeks ago, and I've been getting active in my local Ron Paul meet-up. I'm looking to contribute some ideas on here as I come up with them.

Just a little background, I've been a party-independent free-market libertarian constitutionalist for about 9 years or so. I've been heralding the crashing dollar, credit/loan collamities, and institutionalized welfare/warfare police state for roughly 6 years. I've been active in petitions and letter-writing campaigns such as those to abolish electronic voting machines, end the USA Patriot Act, and so on. Until discovering Ron Paul, however, I have never been active in any sort of political campaign or advocacy.

Ron Paul's message is that of the libertarian ideal. It is the message of our founding fathers. It is the message restoring our constitution. It is the message of hope, love, peace, and freedom. These are among the many reasons I support candidate Ron Paul for president in 2008, and among the many reasons I have joined the grassroots effort.

Hi... new to this forum and wanted to say hello!

Also, I don't see a way to contact a moderator or administrator. Can someone tell me if there is a way to see what we have posted? Our own posts?

Thanks!

Hi! My name is Brittain and I'm a 24 year old teacher from Alabama fed up with federal intervention in public schools. I've been so frustrated with politics for so long.. it's great to have a cause where I can turn my frustrations into positive change. I tell everyone I can about Ron Paul and why I am so dedicated to his message.

Ron Paul r3VOLution!!

Hi, my name is Mike and I'm a university professor from Steubenville, Ohio. I first found these forums last week while searching with Google for info on Paul's campaign in Ohio (we were cutting it close in signature gathering but it looks like we got Dr. Paul on the ballot in Ohio!)

I decided to register since these are the most comprehensive and informative of the Ron Paul forums I've found.

Great to be here and it's great to see so many committed Paul supporters!

Welcome! You can use the "Search" option, it's on the blue line near the top of the screen, then search for your own name and you can find your own posts (or anyone else's).

Hello everyone! My name is Sippy and I currently live in Salt Lake City, UT.
Amazingly enough, I am also not a FLIP FLOP HEAD supporter as many folks in UT seem to be.

I have watched Dr. Paul for many years now and I really like what Dr. Paul has to say.
America needs change, and we need it now. We can no longer afford the stereotypical politicians that we have had for too many years now.
Dr. Paul represents the change we need.

It's good to see so many folks representing Dr. Paul and I hope we all continue to make huge amounts of noise for Dr. Paul!

Hi. I'm Josh and I live in New York City. My profession is webmaster. Among my projects is the website in my signature which is a presidential election news/opinion site with a pro Freedom viewpoint. My goal is to get it ranked #1 on the search engines for the term "presidential candidates" - It will be very helpful for people who are searching for info on the presidential candidates to get the truth rather than the lies they may get elsewhere. You can help this goal out by linking to it on your website(s)!

Me

Born 1960. Expat. In fact, dual citizen (U.S. / British) Lived almost my entire life outside the U.S. Have never voted in a U.S. election - though was once briefly registered to vote in NC as a Democrat. (Senator Sam Ervin was one of my political heroes as a kid. Am I the only one here who thinks that his political outlook bears a remarkable resemblance to that of Dr Paul?)

I have not taken much interest in US presidential elections since 1980, but I was politically active in Britain in the early 1980s with the Liberal Party.

Why Ron Paul?

I never heard of Dr Paul until September, when I was looking at the political compass website. I noticed that Dr Paul occupied a unique political position among the presidential candidates, so read about him on Wikipedia. I liked what I read, and dug a little deeper, and was quickly convinced. The main factors were his:

1) Stance on the Iraq war. (Since I live outside the U.S., a candidate’s foreign policy is pretty important to me.) I watched http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7d_e9lrcZ8 (the SC debate) and read his 35 questions that won’t be asked. http://www.lewrockwell.com/paul/paul52.html Here was a man who actually understands foreign policy and the world we live in. America’s reputation has been tarnished by over half a century of meddling in the affairs of other nations, and it has done the U.S. no good at all.

2) Stance on the Constitution, the roll of the judiciary and the rule of law. I read http://www.lewrockwell.com/paul/paul172.html and http://www.lewrockwell.com/paul/paul208.html and agreed. If you are going to have a constitution, you stick to it.

3) Opposition to big government. (My philosophy is “Pass no new laws and repeal half the ones we’ve got.”)

4) Stance on abortion. It seems to me that if it’s wrong to kill babies after they are born, it’s wrong to kill them before.

5) Record of personal integrity. I get the impression that he is also a decent and humble human being. For me, that is extremely important. It is also sadly rare in politicians.

I'm from Northern Minnesota, and I think I've lurked on this site long enough. I just joined today and have been waiting eagerly for Ron Paul to shine in the Iowa polls! It's amazing, just this last winter I could tell people that aside from Obama and Clinton, I had no idea who was running for President, and now I can tell you all of their names and why I support Dr. Ron Paul!
