I fu----in love football

Sorry man. If you get your rocks off by taking life in my book there is no second chance. Or are you going to tell me that he felt sorry every time he shocked or drowned one of those dogs to death?

Free market man, you act like this tool did you will never get my money again, and better damn well stay away from me and my family.

Do your research. Vick was convicted of funding the operation, not of his own personal violent acts against dogs.

So should the person who slaughters cows, chickens, or goats be considered a murderer? Obviously, you can feel however you want about Vick, and you do not have to watch him--as you mentioned. I just don't get the extreme hate for someone who, as Matt stated, only funded a dog fighting operation. Someone else operated it, and I have only heard that Vick had been to a few dog fights when he was young. He never personally killed any dogs. In a free market, Vick would have owned an animal (dog) fighting business that would have had some demand. They're animals. I love dogs so don't get me wrong, but some of you guys act like he molested children or something.

Do your research? Mother f*&ker, by all means if you were near me I'd slap you with a wet noodle, repeatedly.

Ok then. Please post the court record of his conviction.

Don't try to discredit people in a public forum without providing evidence for your claims. If you're right, you're right. If you're not trying to use logic and evidence to support your argument, however, it's an easy step for me to take to conclude that you have neither on your side.

So that's your guys weak argument.

He merely knowingly funded an operation that was electrocuting and drowning dogs, and also since all he was convicted of was funding the operation he certainly in no way participated in those activities, the law never f's up.

Bunch of pure genius's you two are.

Did you even read my posts? I obviously recognized he was involved and responsible for what happened. You have such a strong bias towards someone killing domestic house pets that you resort to ad hominem attacks. I gave quite a few reasons why Vick should be cut some slack and not be subject to such a blind hatred.

Edit: And I am pretty darn confident that Vick never personally killed a dog. However, funding a dog fighting operation would mean he indirectly killed dogs. But..you know what...if Vick didn't fund one someone else would have. If you care about dogs being murdered you would be better served focusing your anger elsewhere.

What Vick did was wrong, and he did his time for it, every man deserves a second chance.

Shoot, I think if he really turns his lifestyle around and continues playing the way he is playing it will make for one of those nice little sports triumph movies...kinda like the blind side or something. I know I did things I am not proud of in the past. I recognized they were wrong and am better for it.

I agree, they could make a movie about Vick someday. And yeah, whether we'll admit it or not we've all done things we're not proud of, maybe not on the level of Vick, but if he's genuinely trying to change his life around he should get that chance, as someone else already said it's not like he Killed a person or Molested Children.

They found 54 pit bulls on Vick's property, so you can spin the "he was only convicted" crap all day long, and it only means there was a plea bargain involved.

Report said that Vick was personally throwing untrained family pet-type dogs into the ring during the training sessions. Again, I don't disagree that he has a right to play football, but as a human being he is beyond slightly flawed. He's a sick bastard, and that's something that jail doesn't cure.

Buccaneers (Oakland's got nothin' on them!) / Buckeyes

Any sicker than bull fighting? Because people do that in Spain all day long.

It's a cultural thing like it or not.
