Is this an extremist view in the US?
I don't live in the US, 9/11 has always been reported as a reaction to decades of US military intervention. I'm not saying for a second it was justified, but... keep poking a hornet's nest, and you're going to get stung.
I don't know why patriotism in any country or by any people is considered desirable, I can understand why governments want it, but I don't get why people in those countries give it such merit.
