General Election: Paul closer to Defeating Obama than Gingrich/Santorum

The media is dishonest, they like to say Paul is unelectable when in fact Gingrich and Santorum have ZERO chance of beating Obama come November....

Yup, its pretty clear by now. Santorum and Gingrich simply WILL NOT be able to get the independent vote needed to defeat Obama in the general.

The GOP has a choice between the safe status-quo Romney or the real Constitutional Conservative Ron Paul.

The others are just votes for Obama.

So..........Dr. Paul is not electable yet Swingrich is??????????????

The problem is the regular neocon voter does not care about national polls, they just listen to the rhetoric and think Newt and Mitt sound presidential. These are same people who supported McCain because he was "electable", what a joke.

Newt gets CREAMED with independents and women vs Obama. I think this is actually why the establishment is really going for Mitt over Newt. In their heart they love Newts big govt, world domination ideas, but they know he has no chance against Obama because of his baggage.

That is why the media is promoting Gingrich and Santorum, since it will secure an Obama win. Except for Foxnews, which I believe is promoting Gingrich and Santorum since Murdoch and Ailes love big government and wants one their former employees to win. That would also put them on the inside for 4 years of White House coverage and worst case is Obama wins, thus 4 more years of Foxnews ratings bashing Obama.

Ron has been consistently second best against Obama in the RCP average since this spring.

These polls are worthless, any republican candidate will soundly defeat Obama because of the economy. Ron Paul himself has said as much.

Eh, don't be so sure about this. Obama is going to spend > $1 billion in the general, and the MSM will totally be on his side in the race.

Independents will NOT turn out to vote for Santorum and Gingrich, they just won't.
