The libertarian party is akin to an abused whore. It is no longer what it used to be.
I saw an article today that the Florida LP party is setting its date for convention to a date early enough that those who vote for Ron Paul as GOP in the election won't have time to change back to be LP delegates. I guess they don't care about having candidates Ron Paul supporters would like.
They get it right once in a while (Ron Paul, Harry Browne). Darn shame the LP is so ironically named.Given their record of picking non libertarians, Gary will fit right in.
+1 unaffiliated FTW!As soon as the GOP race is over I won't be switching back to the LP Party.

That is funny!I think Harry Browne was my first exposure to modern Libertarianism. I found his views shocking then, but for some reason they resonated with me in a strange way I couldn't express (I was a big Dole guy then...funny I know).
Ron Paul needs to get the LP behind him before its too late. The GOP will not allow Ron to be their candidate whether or not he gets enough votes/delegates to seal the nomination. The Republican establishment will make sure Ron Paul is not their nominee, and do everything in their power to prevent it. How about a Ron Paul/Gary Johnson (L) ticket. I know most here will disagree with me, but that's my opinion.

Anyone still left in the Libertarian Party is basically people we will never get to support Ron. A Paul/Johnson ticket will never happen because Ron Paul will only put a pro-life person in his cabinet.
