Evidence of some sort of military build-up - shot today in Santa Cruz CA.

You know, under a Ron Paul presidency, I wouldn't mind seeing military vehicles moved around like this in our own country. That would be a GOOD thing because it means we are able to fortify our defenses, and create a military so strong, nobody would think of attacking us!

Alas, I must scratch my head at everything under our current administration.

romney, "ve vill show zee vorld ve vill produce zee master militray and zee world will submit, just like you sheep have"

And he gets an applause.

Sorry, I go off in different directions when thinking about some of the things going on here.

There is major CAguard training base at camp Roberts and just to the north Ft Hunter legget. The do armor training there as I have supported it with medevac site support. The last time I dId this it was a armor brigade from washingto state. These training excercises are done all the time and I have been part of them. However I can't rule out the strategic movement of military assets. Lot of sabre rattling in washington on Iran.

Ive driven one of those as all crew members have to but the driver is the one that has to put it on the train, sometimes with only inches to spare on each side.

Interesting. North South East or West? Inports or Exports? West Coast defense against land invasion for WWIII? Don't forget that WWI started over less stuff than invading Iran, it's all a pretext. On the upside, imagine when all of this is under Paul command!

Also, this could be posturing by the military. Moving a trainload of tanks in the daytime uncovered is sure to be noticed by foreign intel like Russia or Chinese. Could be like saying, "yeah, we're invading iran, don't get involved." Or, maybe it's NOTHING!

NTC is close to Barstow. It is one of the army's best training facility. Many units around the country regularly ship their vehicle to do training there. I had to do railhead detail before to get our vehicles there from Ft Lewis, WA. Its a pain in the ass. Nothing to worry about. This thread reminds of the times we drove our vehicles from Tacoma, Wa to Spokane (Yakima Training Center) and we would have at least one news chopper shadowing our convoy and the people on the highway acted like WWIII just broke out in WA.

ridiculous thread is ridiculuos.

Video is proof that military equipment was moved on a train.

People citing "I know someone blahblahblah who said blahblahblah" have nothing worthwhile to bring to the coversation and should refrain from commenting. I know some cannot resist the compulsion to drive up their post count.

The video, like baseless comments and speculation is worthless because you have no information from it to substantiate its origination. Without this my speculation is just as valid as any alarmist speculation that this was probably filmed quite some time ago, quite possibly before we even started our current round of invasion and nation building. It's just as likely that they were being sent out to get repainted to desert colors as any wild speculation that "something is up".

Deborah K,

Thanks for the heads up. It's good their are patriots around watching things and reporting about them. This may be a big nothing, but then again this may be a big something! I never dismiss anything. And if people aren't concerned, they certainly aren't paying attention!

“It is natural for man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth, and listen to the song of that siren till she transforms us into beasts... For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth, to know the worst, and to provide for it.”
~Patrick Henry

For those not familiar with military equipment shipments, this certainly would give you reason for pause.

But as many with experience in the military in this thread have already noted, this is a very common occurrence.

This could mean WWIII is coming in a few weeks or it could mean a standard scheduled training exercise is coming up or it could mean a battalion or regiment is moving to a different base or an equipment swap or a dozen other things.

It's good to be cautious but we have plenty here familiar with this type of equipment movement that we should listen to.
