Look, I'm a diehard Ron Paul supporter. I want the country to listen to the man and his ideas and debate them amongst themselves. No more false left/right paradigm as others have stated earlier. I want to be clear that I am for Ron Paul 2012 through the GOP by all means necessary! I feel that represents the best chance for Paul in terms of the General Election. I'm wondering what happens in the debates now in terms of whether every question will continue to be loaded and how much time he will be allowed to respond compared to other candidates.

But I also want to be clear that if the GOP tries the same crap they pulled in 2007, fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, to hell with you. The only real conservative is right there in front of you, and he's the only one actually BRINGING people into the GOP, however diverse they are. We all know that RP is the Grand Uniter. And I must admit that I suspect America would much better place if the GOP/DNC were both weakened by a Third Party win that shocks the world.

100% Agree! If Ron Paul runs 3rd party. it will only be because the gop gave him and us no choice but to run 3rd Party!! the only ones to blame if Ron Paul ran outside the gop is the gop!!

If you're talking about politicians and pundits, I'd say the % is higher than that. If you're talking about voters, I'd say it's substantially lower. When push comes to shove, and the economy is headed that direction - many will forego *some* bases overseas for fiscal responsibility. And when they realize intervention doesn't work anyway, most will forego the empire.

The 2008 reaction by voters to RP was in large part a result of not having enough time to have anything but a knee-jerk reaction. He's been all over FOX and other stations since though, and the facts are on our side. Occupation costs too much, and it doesn't work.

This is so underappreciated.

It's been a long time since 'the sleeping giant' has been awakened. Only Paul has a chance to pull the disenfranchised (those who haven't voted in a long time) into the arena again in substantial numbers.

And he dominates the campuses. We're in excellent shape!
 
I think what Coulter is saying is that if Ron Paul gets the nomination, she'll support the Republican nominee.

My co-worker is the most liberal woman who ever lived! And she likes Ron Paul. My mother is a Democrat, but loves Ron Paul the person as well.

End the Mandate would be popular. End the Fed is Ron Paul's signature issue (or one of them). Most Republicans would want to get out front of End the Mandate.

Also, think about this. In the last three days, Ron Paul lost to Romney by one vote in the SRLC straw poll and got more publicity, A very very timely and favorable Rasmussen Poll is released, Drudge screams it to the rest of the world, Bunning endorses Rand, and tomorrow, Ron is about to wake up even MORE people at the tea party rally with END THE MANDATE! We are on a roll!

But I think we need to anticipate what will be thrown our way. We MUST have a website that debunks all of the myths about RP and how most corporate media sources and personnel do their best to distort and spin his message. The sooner, the better.
 
A lot of people are confusing (or wrongly equating) the Rasmussen poll that measured Paul vs Obama and the other poll which measured other Republicans vs Obama.

Apples vs Oranges.

Rasmussen is a Republican Pollster. Rasmussen polls show Obama with higher unfavorables than other pollsters do. Long before it really matters, before the 2012 race starts to take shape, these will be old polls.

It's a great poll, no doubt, happy to see it, but it doesn't mean that Paul is the strongest Republican against Obama. We'd need to see one poll that measures Paul vs Obama and other Republicans vs Obama - same time same people.

Hope to have a design or two next week with some bulk options - but the 'make your own' 4/$10 + $2.95 shipping is considerably cheaper than Zazzle as is.

If it was Paul vs Obama - Person C is a likely Paul vote. Persons A and B likely Obama votes.

And if Person C really wanted to argue the facts, do a little research, that person would point out that those are separate polls. Rasmussens numbers on Obama are usually lower than other polling organizations.

I think 75% of the neo-conservatives are unconvertible, unfortunately. I would really love to see RP win the GOP nomination, but I just know they'll screw him if he decides to run. What I'm REALLY curious about is how Obama/Biden vs. Romney/Huckabee vs. Paul/VP would turn out, poll-wise. Is the country's mood just right that a third party candidate could win for the first time in modern US history?

GOP, I am fully aboard if Ron Paul and only Ron Paul is the nominee. If anyone else is the nominee, you can guarantee my vote goes elsewhere.
