CNN Poll Guiliani 16% (?!) Romney 15%, Palin 13%, Ron Paul 12%

Matt Drudge (or at least the people that run his site) has come on board, joined the winning team and is gonna come in for the big win.

Drudge is a believer. He listens to Alex Jones everyday, I think. We got some big dogs on board, and I would have never believed that could possibly ever happen a few years ago

The post doesn't even mention his numbers really but the commenters seemed to find it anyway.

The post actually does mention it.

According to CNN’s polling of Republicans and independents planning to vote in GOP primaries, Giuliani only gets tepid enthusiasm from the respondents. Only 27% of respondents claimed they would be enthusiastic about his nomination — but that was also the highest among the respondents. Palin got edged at 26%, followed by Romney at 21%, Ron Paul at 20%, and Newt Gingrich at 16%. When combined with “pleased but not enthusiastic,” Romney leads with 70%, followed by Giuliani at 68%, Paul at 63% (really?), Palin at 56%, and Gingrich in the rear at 50%.

Ed is surprised that his prediction that Ron Paul's campaign ended when he made the Bin Laden comments is not coming true by a long shot.

This is a good poll for Ron, but I can't take it seriously with that Giuliani number. Sorry, there's just no way I believe that he's got anywhere close to 16% of likely voters.

Once again, I love the grammar and spelling issues coming from Ron Paul's Facebook:

Ron Paul said:
The latest CNN National Poll has me at 12 percent, and within the margin of error from first place! Somehow, Rudy is leading and I think we can all remember how easy he is be to beat :)

Sadly Politico just mentioned the top three and Drudge posted it above the line. Is there a story that shows Ron's numbers that we could send to drudge?

I just sent him the actual poll crosstabs with the note that Ron was in 4th with 12% and if Rudy and Palin don't run he's in 2d with 15%. We'll see if he links differently.

Yea we need some high quality 30 second and 1 minute ads like the first two from Pawlenty. Probably with flashy camera shots, voice overs, and all the other bells and whistles as those seem to be the norm for good political ads nowadays.

If the majority of Americans did prefer your kind of ads, Ron Paul would be President already. Unfortunately that's not the case. Most people get bored, flip the channel, click another link, or tune out if the ad isn't flashy enough.

Ones that have runs of the polls he did well in at the bottom, best to beat obama cnn may 5 2011, 41% to 42 % against obama, April 2010, ..... Second in NH... etc.

Love that hotair text, note the response to Ron's favorables:

Everyone basically is saying it is because people are waiting for 'someone compelling' and are willing to take a look at anyone new. I think they have real problems and hope they want real solutions.

Re Ron's facebook -- I wish they wouldn't. He isn't snarky, he has never been snarky, and we don't want him to look snarky. Now us, WE can be snarky.

The Republican nominee will never be someone the Religious Right disapproves of. Fortunately, this WILL work to our favor unless Palin becomes a serious factor. I don't see them backing Rudy or Romney. The Ghoul supports abortion and dressed up as a woman. No way they're gonna be cool with that. Romney is a Mormon. He might survive that, but that on top of his otherwise liberal policies will sink him.

Shhhhh....you will disturb those who believe that Alex Jones only hurts Ron Paul. ;) Seriously I was about to point out that Drudge has been linking Alex quite a bit lately.

Respectfully, BS. Just like how they knew what they were doing last time?

It doesn't matter if we are on Drudge Report....we have a good 90% of the internet. Why do you think we slay in internet polls so much?

If the campaign knew what it was doing, it'd be doing some targeted cable ads. The guy who mentioned the High Tide promo was dead on. Something similar should be redone, or something that compelling with the issues I mentioned should be done....though I wouldn't animate Ron.

The campaign knows what it is doing. At least that is the gist around the forum -- so we'll see.
