It's becoming harder to remain a pessimist.
I'm still very pessimistic about this. The campaign isn't doing enough. They should be blitzing with TV ads pointed at the mainstream republicans right now.
IE. "Ron Paul is a veteran, a doctor, saw our financial crisis coming and new where Osama Bin Laden was in 2003 (check?). He is also the only republican to be endorsed by Ronald Reagan himself, and according to a recent CNN poll has the best chance among republicans to beat Obama." etc etc.
They need to put out a "buzz" piece that quickly hits on all of the issue the status-quo republicans are concerned about; national security, economy, social values/Republican Establishment approval, and the ability to WIN. People will back a WINNER.
Yea, we should just spend it all on a blimp again...
I don't think they should spend money on ads when no one is paying attention.

luckily we haven't peaked too soon. That should be our talking point for romney.
I don't know, they are cheaper now too. Some well targetted ones might do some good. Plus could give the impression of a winner.
Ron Paul places second in NH poll...
this just came up on drudge:
He is promoting Paul now. Matt wants RP to win.
Cable ads are dirt cheap. I donated to the high tides airings last years and whether coincidental or not, Ron's vote percentages were way up in those states, and the time slots were pretty cheap. I mean, a thousand dollars got a few showings in a decent sized market in a rural state.
Come to think of it, it wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing to grab a block of ads on Fox in IA soon painting Ron as the family/economy guy. Dropping the website at the end might even help efforts to gather extra names for the Ames poll.
