CNN Poll Guiliani 16% (?!) Romney 15%, Palin 13%, Ron Paul 12%

That and his support from Ronald Reagan. If they campaign had any clue what they were doing they'd be trumpeting it from the get-go. There's no reason not to.

I try very hard to act as if I'm not a Paul supporter and I've not yet been swayed, and what I'd want to hear if I hadn't been. If I'm the average GOP voter, I think I'd never even heard of Paul much, let alone really know what he's all about minus the mainstream smear campaigns. Some targeted ads can fix that easily, effectively, efficiently, and on a grand scale.

That is what will bring your "typical" GOP voter onboard.

That needs to be spread far and wide!

Everytime Ron Paul gets close they will try to mix it up. They can't let RP hover near the top, he might become unstoppable if people learn what he really stands for. The most recent Gallup Poll is what's freaking them out, I listen to these talk radio shows like Boortz, Rush, and Hannity, and they are all following the "He who must not be named strategy". I guess if they don't mention Ron Paul is potentially in third place, or simply don't mention his name at all, "He who must not be named" will simply go away and his popularity will diminish.

The Liberty Movement controls this election, without our 10%+, Obama will be president again. But of course, I figure, they want to lose so they can run chris christie or Jeb Bush in 2016.

The more that get in the worse it gets, heck even Pawlenty got the front podium at the Fox debate and Ron on the end. Imagine Palin, Bachman,Gingrich, Perry, Ghouls, Romney being there. Ron would have been in the mens room. Its all a circus show and Romney is the heir apparent with cover from all the others.

That made me LoL.

I never thought I'd see that day when Ron Paul would be statistically tied for first place. However, while our primary focus should be on the road ahead (overcoming the Romney behemoth), it still is important to glance in the rear view mirror to prevent Cain or Bachmann from overtaking us.

As for Giuliani, he just seems to be the new flavor of the month (a la Trump last month). His presence doesn't really pose a threat since he will be deflated just like last time. In fact, the fact that Giuliani is leading may actually contain a few silver linings for us: 1) This indicates that a substantial proportion of the GOP field is displeased with the current frontrunners; 2) This shows that, with such a divided field, Ron would only need to jump into the mid teens in order to become the national frontrunner; 3) Giuliani is basing his prospective campaign in New Hampshire, so his perceived 'viability' will take 'moderate' NH voters away from Romney, and thus make our job in NH that much easier. Remember that IA and NH polls should be given much more emphasis than national polls, since the former will inevitably sway the latter due to the staggered primary system.

Simply because you and a number of other members fail to recognize this fact doesn't mean it isn't so. Unlike 95% of the board members here, one poor stance on an issue isn't enough to turn the majority of voters off. Therefore, Romney is their guy; The healthcare issue won't even matter. Quote me on that.

They want a winner.

Romney is a threat? Seriously? Romneycare ensured that there are ZERO chances of him getting elected.

The Republican nominee will never be someone the Religious Right disapproves of. Fortunately, this WILL work to our favor unless Palin becomes a serious factor. I don't see them backing Rudy or Romney. The Ghoul supports abortion and dressed up as a woman.
Not just that, he had Trump motorboating him! LOL! :D Not to mention his one issue, 9/11, is gone now.

as rush limbaugh put it last night on fox (flame what you will), anything can happen between now and election day and there are still months and months. polls simply don't matter at this point.
