Looks like trouble for Christie.

"Private messages between Governor’s Christie’s deputy chief of staff and two of his top executives at the Port Authority reveal a vindictive effort to create “traffic problems in Fort Lee” by shutting lanes to the George Washington Bridge and apparent pleasure at the resulting gridlock."

I cant say I was ever really worried about Christie for the GOP nom, and now even less so. Jeb Bush, Scott Ryan, and Paul Walker are the ones who scare me.

There's Big Government for yah... doesn't matter the party, they're all criminals, backed by force. I wonder when, Extortion, Racketeering charges will be filed by the "JUST-US" system?

Yeah, I forgot, there isn't a rule of law for the connected and privileged.

Honestly, the blue side of the ruling class may just see Christie as enough of threat to their power to do something about this.

“I feel badly about the kids,” the person replied to Wildstein. “I guess.”

“They are the children of Buono voters,” Wildstein wrote, making a reference to Barbara Buono, the Democratic candidate for governor, who lost to Christie in a landslide in November.

The Progressive Republican establishment and the media knows Christie does not have a chance. It is just part of their game plan.

They will pump Christie until he fails to gain traction for the purpose of manufacturing the myth of a Republican candidate void. They will complain that there is "no front runner", "Is the Republican party adrift?" and "who can save the Republican party?". These questions will be repeated for several months to put in the minds of the average Joe that the party is without a candidate.

This will all happen despite Rand winning straw polls and leading in the polls, which they will ignore. At the appropriate time they will announce Jeb Bush as the Conservative savior. "Will Jeb Bush save party?", the media will fall all over themselves to celebrate Jeb Bush. Ultimately the media and establishment want Jeb or Hillary. For the media, Democrat and Republican Progressives it is a win win to have either Jeb or Hillary as President.

Christie is just a distraction to shield the people from Rand and to bring Jeb in at the appropriate time.

Somehow I don't think he will be a problem. ;)

If you mean Paul Ryan, it seems like he's more likely to stay in the house and rise there. Which is good, because Republicans seem to love him. Walker and Bush are still worrisome. Bush because he does impressively well in polling(somehow reaching 20% in Kentucky, for example) I could see him running as the McCain/Romney like candidate, especially if Christie's troubles mount and he can't run. He's not as unpopular as Christie either with the base.

Walker is concerning because he has conservative credentials. Rather, the media will refer to him as a conservative and many of the establishment friendly tea party groups will support him. He bridges the gap between the different factions of the party. Worst, unlike Christie and Bush, I could see him competing for many of the same voters Rand and Cruz are.

Still, I think its to early to count Christie out. If the aide rats him out I think it's over for him. But if there's no direct link he should be able to weather the storm.

No doubt that is one of the plans. And if Christie does make it, they will be fine going with him too.

Won't hurt Christie at all. This is how things are done in jersey. Christie could have ordered a hit and nobody would care. Obama and his cronies behave the same way, nobody cares and he was reelected.

Right? I'm sure Rham played a few dirty tricks from the White House. Just politics as usual where they're from. Well, to be fair, I'm sure Southern politicians have ordered their fair share...
