Establishment Republicans like Christie because he is the best candidate they have, not because of some anti-Rand conspiracy. And don't make the mistake of assuming the "establishment" is a monolithic collective. Establishment Democrats and most of the Establishment media see Christie as a threat to Hillary. Just because Hillary and Christie believe in virtually all the same things doesn't mean the various factions of the establishment aren't bitterly divided over which of their lapdogs gets nominated. The difference between Team R and Team D might not mean anything to us, but to the establishment players it decides which side gets the better offices, bigger kickbacks, better jobs, and more clout in the DC Social Circuit.
