No, it's called a lack of respect for individual property rights.
This story could also be called "China invests in America". If they build us a city, that they can't just pick up and move to China, then they just built us a city on their taxpayers' backs. If they corner the "green market" with cheap solar panels...good. Then I get solar panels cheap on their taxpayers' backs due to subsidies.
Unless they have a 50 sq mi embassy which isn't apart of our nation (in terms of sovereignty), and not subject to our laws, then this is a free city. Stop being against free trade and individual property rights. My property is mine, and I can sell it or buy it from anyone I choose who voluntary does so with me. I can hire or fire who I like at any voluntary price we agree to. None of your nationalism is rationalizing away your disrespect for my Constitutional property rights. You cannot be a "fair trader" without trampling property rights. END OF STORY, logically speaking.
Be a free market capitalist, not a protectionist. Be a patriot, not a nationalist. Be for free trade, not failed economic collectivist nonsense. Be for property rights, not whatever the collective thinks serves their BS collective interests at my rights' expense.
Doesn't it bother you no free market capitalists are for your view of trade, but lefties cheerlead "fair trade"? You agree with liberal statists on this issue! Wake up!
I hate to tell you, but you don't have any Constitutional rights to sell your land to a foreign government, or an illegal alien, for that matter.
You may not realize it, but what you are promoting is globalism. I want no part of it. I believe in having national sovereignty and last time I checked, so did Ron Paul.
Be a free market capitalist, not a protectionist.
I had always been, but like I have said before, I saw what NAFTA, CATFA, etc. did to our jobs here. Perot was right about the giant sucking sound. I realize they aren't true free trade agreements, but I don't see how that would have changed the outcome. I'm open on this, but I don't see it at this time. I am also quite concerned about the trade imbalance.
I'm all for philosophy, but I am also going to look at the outcome. So, you are going to have to speak to me in terms of results. I don't want America to become a 3rd world country and that is what I see happening and it's not all because of the FED.
Be a patriot, not a nationalist.
ROFL. I know I am a patriot. I am however not so sure about you. How about you care about keeping those rights you are so fond of pontificating about. If we do not have a sovereign nation and get back to Americans understanding the principles upon which this country was founded. Individual liberty, rugged individualism, etc., this new little experiment in freedom is going to be all over. Being a patriot does not mean being willing to sell out your country for globalism, even if it means you will be able to line your pockets with some more change. THAT is not a patriot at all.
Be for free trade, not failed economic collectivist nonsense. Be for property rights, not whatever the collective thinks serves their BS collective interests at my rights' expense.
Oh, I'm for property rights. Sell your land all day long to any American you want. That however still does not mean that it's ok for you to sell your land to foreign governments or illegal aliens. So sorry.
