China Wants to Build a 50 Square Mile City in the US

By "us", are you talking about American citizens, or are you saying that the American GOVERNMENT can buy land in China? Because that is what we are talking about here with the Chinese.
What I meant by 'us' = American citizens.
I can't relate to the government in any way, shape, or form since I know it's not working for us.

If you read the article the original poster linked to, it is rather obvious that this is more than an economic transaction; the Chinese are looking to do high level work on electric transmission and alternative energy projects in other states (in addition to Idaho).

They're looking to replicate their colonial program that they used in Africa here. I think the Constitution would uphold laws prohibiting, or greatly restricting, the activities of companies whose primary owners are foreign countries.

Yes, the Chinese have had success in Africa. The Chinese are playing the same game that the western global corporatists play, but they are playing it better. The IMF, World Bank and major corporations are too greedy. They demand a bigger cut, and demand that certain rules are followed. The Chinese say "we'll take a smaller cut, and there are no rules". Of course in the long run, the goal is the same: domination and subjugation.

Can the two largest mafia-style organizations work together? We shall see, and the one world currency is the proving ground.

So, the only thing that can step in and stop it is the federal government. Should the federal government step in?
Did I say anything about the Federal Govt.?
However,, there are local ordinances, Building, zoning , etc.
And I believe that there are also labor laws, work place and hiring laws. And though I dislike them, they are a present reality.
Equal employment laws and immigration laws could be enforced by local entities.

There are multiple and varied skinning techniques. regardless of the critter.

Good tube!

It seems that paper money is not the only "currency" that can be created fairly easily. The Chinese value property as a store of wealth more than paper currency, and the Chinese have responded by building as if they were printing currency. Of course it also allows them to keep those "growth" statistics up. Nothing better than centrally managing an economy based on government statistics. Alan Greenspan is proud of the Chinese.

To me, the most sad part of this entire video was when that dude said, "government needs to intervene" and "housing should be a right."

Sounds just like people in the US.

Government fix the problem? They're the cause of the problem.

Maybe the Chinese Government will learn and letting the free market work is the best thing for prosperity.

I'm not worried about Sinotech. It's a government operation. They're bound to fuck it up.

I hate to tell you, but you don't have any Constitutional rights to sell your land to a foreign government

So you admit then that rights are granted by the government...you statist sicko. My rights aren't up for vote for your nationalist idiocy...I have them by virtue of my humanity (Creation if you prefer)!

This nonsense is why you make such bad arguments. My rights ARE NOT subject to border...my property rights are either REAL rights, or they are granted by government.

You just said, logically, that my property rights aren't natural rights, they're civil rights.

You fool.

Your property rights end when it infringes on my right to be free from an authoritarian government even worse than ours.

More anti-natural rights, collectivist nonsense.

How exactly does me selling my property to a foreignor hurt you? It doesn't unless your economically ignorant and believe BS.

My rights are natural, not civil. Wake up, and stop cheerleading for NO RESPECT AT ALL for natural rights, like property.

and yes it makes it sound like it would then become Chinese sovereign soil,

Seems like an assumption to me. Property rights aren't negotiable because of xenophobia, thanks anyway.

Yeah, great argument loser. You mean way to support free market capitalism, free trade (including the trade of the good of labor). You are a typical mouthy collectivist...lol. Go F yourself.

Consider your self reported.
