Giving you guys the heads up.. Blitz just said he'll be showing the first exit poll numbers at the top of the hour (in 5 minutes) on CNN..

.

The last time they did this early "exit poll numbers" crap, it was just showing the percentage of people supporting the issues. This will just show the issues that people feel are important i.e. Economy, Terror, Health Care, etc.

CNN can't tell us who is winning right now. It would be morally and legally wrong.

If they do release any data it will be like New Hampshire, where they'll say how many "Republicans" and "Independents" voted... how old voters have been... what religion they've been... what their approval rating of Bush is... etc.

That's all they're allowed to do.

they can't release exit polls early, unless it's like they did last time, on issues or how many indy voter, dems, rep, ect.

blitzer isnt an arse. he's been actually very fair to Dr. Paul and it seems him and Dr. Paul talk on a regular basis. I would blame the producers who setup these segments.

LOL he showed every campaign cept RP, what a arse.

I saw him cover RP, just after Romney, McCain, and Huckabee... but before Gouliani. He also said that RP is hoping to have the results match his very impressive fund raising efforts.

your right hes probably not an arse, but this is my problem with all news programs, they advertise something before the show and then make you watch the WHOLE thing to see what you want. Thank god for tivo.

Agreed. Wolf was not responsible, for example, for the pie chart after NH. And, in fact, Wolf mentioned Ron Paul explicitly when no other station was.

Wolf clearly respects Ron Paul and tries to give him a fair shake within the context of what the network lets him do.

Anyone else tired of Dr. Paul's name being prefaced with "longshot," "maverick" or "hopeful?" How about Republican candidate Ron Paul?

Guys, keep in mind: Even if they do give numbers regarding how many Republicans or Democrats are showing up... they're not even accurate. Certain demographics are more likely to vote early or late in the day. That's why when some exit polls leaked early on election day '04 they were so out of whack with the final exit polls.

Early voters are more likely to be female, old and unemployed. They don't represent all people who will vote today.
