There is no more reason to expect ethnicities derived from Spain, Mexico, Cuba, El Salvador, Argentina, etc. to be offended by a joke about Puerto Rico (just because they're all "Hispanics" or "Latinos") than there is to expect ethnicities derived from Germany, France, Norway, Belgium, Lithuania, etc. to be offended by a joke about Ireland (just because they're all "Northern Europeans").

The leftist identitarians who expected otherwise are incapable of understanding things like that. Despite their much-vaunted adoration of "diversity", they regard "Hispanics" or "Latinos" as little more than just an undifferentiated and homogeneous blob of "bodies". (And the same applies with respect to all their other "intersectionalities" - women, people "of color", LBGTQ+, etc.)

Yeah....but there are 600,000 Puerto Ricans in Pennsylvania. It seems they weren't so bothered either. Either that or they were all voting for Harris anyway so the needle didn't budge.

Interestingly, as "smart" and "successful" as that demographic is, they are also very, very easily social engineered. Probably easier than any other demographic in this country. Some postulate that it's because female maternal instincts kick in but since most of them do not have actual children, simply place a "XYZ needs your care, protection and love" target in front of them and they'll quickly "adopt" that "child" as their own.

Any way, I wrote in other threads on election day that women's top priority, generally, is spending money. They may say it's this-or-that social issue but when the ability to spend is limited they generally go back to voting based on that real top priority.
