I'm not familiar with how the "seats" are decided in France. Are those based on local votes, like a US House district vote?

It seems to me the biggest problem for the "right" is that they are not pulling over 50%, thus the "left" can win when they consolidate into a single candidate, which is what would happen in a run-off election.

The leftist globalist brainwashing is so effective, that many would vote for their own demise just to spite the "right". It's an emotional decision.

The US Electoral college seems to be the basis by which US government became a binary system controlled by no more than two primary political parties. Most parliamentary systems seem to deal with more than two political parties - which results in alliances between parties to gain the control of government. Le Pen, in her true political need pre-October 7th not to say bad things about Israel, (developed over the years in an effort to shed the reputaion of her father who started the party), gave the Pro-Palestine French citizens no other option but to vote for the Left-Wing Alliance. She stuck with it, not blasting Israel's war against Palestinians. This is because she thought she would pull off Macron's bloc. The mistake made is one that could serve her in the future, but not NOW. NOW, the anti-Israel sentiment is SO STRONG in France that it is finding real representation.

Just to be clear, in my hammer analogy, if someone is attacking me with a hammer, there is nothing wrong with taking the hammer away and returning it where it belongs, across the border in this case.
