Your OP is correct.
In the UK the people voted to leave the EU and their immigration mandates.
They got "conservatives" with jeets and paks in every high office and three times the invaders.
I'm not familiar with how the "seats" are decided in France. Are those based on local votes, like a US House district vote?
Since 1988, the 577 deputies are elected by direct universal suffrage with a two-round system by constituency, for a five-year mandate, subject to dissolution. The constituencies each have about 100,000 inhabitants.
Senators are elected indirectly by approximately 150,000 officials, known as the grands électeurs, including regional councillors, department councillors, mayors, municipal councillors in large communes, as well as members of the National Assembly. However, 90% of the electors are delegates appointed by councillors. This system introduces a bias in the composition of the Senate favoring rural areas. As a consequence, while the political majority changes frequently in the National Assembly, the Senate has remained politically right, with one brief exception, since the foundation of the Fifth Republic, much to the displeasure of the Socialists
The US Electoral college seems to be the basis by which US government became a binary system controlled by no more than two primary political parties. Most parliamentary systems seem to deal with more than two political parties - which results in alliances between parties to gain the control of government. In France, it's a given that there are going to be runoff elections every election cycle. It seems to me the biggest problem for the "right" is that they are not pulling over 50%, thus the "left" can win when they consolidate into a single candidate, which is what would happen in a run-off election.

See, this is what happens next, all around the world, in Brazil, in Mexico, in Venezuela, in France, in Canada, in the UK...and here.
Marxists collude to "win" an election, whether by outright cheating, or bollixing the race with fake candidates or using collusion to co-opt candidates, to bribery and blackmail, along with a thousand other "dirty tricks".
Immediately upon assuming power they use the judiciary to arrest, harry and bankrupt opponents.
Then they flood the nation with foreign invaders that have no loyalty to the republic then enslave and torment the population, forever if they get their way.
You are not voting your way out of this.
