3 women missing for decade found in Cleveland home

Good point, Angela!

2ND RESPONDERS ALLOW THREE WOMEN TO BE IMPRISONED FOR ALMOST A DECADE
http://www.theburningplatform.com/?p=53797

I’m going to have to come up with a new name for the donut eaters that serve and protect. 2nd responders doesn’t fit for the Cleveland police force. How about No Responders? As usual, just like in Watertown, it was a citizen that came to the rescue. The pathetic excuse for policemen allowed these poor women to be enslaved for almost a decade, even though they had been informed by neighbors on multiple occasions that something bad was going on in that house. While they were sitting in Dunkin Donut parking lots and setting up speed traps to meet their monthly fine quota, innocent human beings were being abused and molested by deranged psychopaths.

And the sheeple believe that these worthless mouth breathers need more funding so they can protect us and keep us safe from criminals. What a pathetic joke.

Cleveland kidnapping house of horrors: Neighbors reported seeing naked women crawling on leashes, a woman with a baby pounding on a window for help … but cops walked away 3 times

Neighbors in the West Cleveland neighborhood where three women were rescued after a decade of imprisonment said they had called police 3 times to report strange behavior at the house, but cops never went inside and never followed up.

cops were probably customers. Should be charged with being an accessory to the crime. Because God knows if you see a crime and don't report it, and the cops care and know you didn't report it. They'd charge you.

Or investigation. Several calls over the years.. A police response a few times..

no one ever investigated? found cause for a search warrant?

But they will send a SWAT team, kick in doors and shoot the dogs , based on little or no evidence, over a couple grams of plant substance.

THis is a slippery slope. I don't want the cops getting the right to walk in unannounced anytime they decide someone is in danger. We're already halfway there with the powers that CPS has to do just that.

If a person had walked over to the backyard and asked the women if they needed help, though, it's possible nobody would have said yes, just out of fear.

Backyard quarterbacking isn't ever easy.

They wouldn't have to walk unannounced. They get a warrant.

I thought for sure that this topic would have the usual theories that they're all actors or that it's an inside job.

No, the 3 women were not related to the men. The 3 men were brothers.

OK, I reread the article, it appears that they were close to the families of all three victims (noting that earlier within another article I also thought I had read that one victim has stated that she walked home with him (Ariel) from school and the other called her mother to let her know she was getting a ride home from her job at Burger King (no name was mentioned though), so it seemed to me they were likely taken by somebody related to them or something along those lines):

"Ariel Castro kept up his charade by attending two vigils for the missing girls."

"His son — unaware his dad was allegedly holding the women imprisoned — interviewed DeJesus’ family about their missing daughter while he was a college journalism student in 2004."

"Ariel Castro and his brothers knew all of their victims’ families, but they were particularly close with the DeJesuses."

Also there is now mention of a possible fourth woman whose name was written on a wall along with "rest in peace". It also looks like they might potentially be facing manslaughter (or even murder) charges, for the several deceased infants that might be buried throughout the backyard.

The police have said no human remains have been found yet, but I read that another girl had disappeared from the area in 2004, and the police had long thought the disappearance was related to the second two girls. Also, the other two brothers didn't live in that house, so there is probably more evidence that will come from other locations.

I suspect that they won't need a body to convict these guys of murder if they have the testimony of the three survivors.

I really don't want them to get the death penalty. Not only am I opposed to it, I just much prefer the thought of these guys spending the rest of their lives in a maximum security prison, where the other inmates can make them crawl around on leashes during the day.

Oh, No.. Don't misunderstand please.
I do not want police having more powers,, they need to be on a short leash..
But with neighbors making complaints and raising questions,, some investigation would be in order. Observation, and if there is reason (as it seems there was in this case) then a proper search warrant should be sought.

hell,, they hand those out like candy for small amounts of pot.

But one of the neighbors called the police because he was taking in too much food from McDonald's. I really don't want a judge that issues a warrant for that reason.

I really hate the cops. I want people to learn to be responsible for taking care of each other.

My Dad caught a guy breaking into a neighbor's garage. He called the police, and when they showed up the thief ran out of the garage and up the street to a vacant house. My Dad saw him kick open a basement window and slide in. The cops didn't see this, because they were on the radio and getting back into their car.

My Dad told them were he went. But they said they couldn't go in without a warrant, and just filled out some paperwork and left. About an hour later, Dad saw the guy walk out the front door and leave.

Unless there's a financial benefit for them, the cops have no interest in crime. I suspect the cops that knocked on the door but never followed up again are kicking themselves over the promotions they could have obtained if only they had solved the case.

I think I would have been over a fence at "naked girls on leashes"..
at least to see if they were leashed willingly.
And I mind my own business for the most part..there are some things that would get my attention.

But,, I do not believe most here would consider me "average".

Yes, and they really were girls. These guys were in their 50's, with some teenagers on a leash? That's possibly some weird B&D play, but exhibitionists probably wouldn't mind a conversation.

MAY 8--The Cleveland man credited with helping free female captives from a house of horrors is a convicted felon whose rap sheet includes three separate domestic violence convictions that resulted in prison terms, court records show.

He is pretty likeable, but from some of the interviews I've heard I think the media is kind of overwhelming him at the moment with all their attention.

LOLz, this guy was animated enough I was wondering how long it would take for a remix to happen lolz.

Reminds me of this:

It doesn't SEEM like it, though of course the little girl could be blocking it. It's been reported she was calling out for her daddy and was super upset he wasn't around, as if it was just a normal home and she couldn't understand what was going on. Given the ages of the girls when they were kidnapped, maybe the daughter was safe due to still being so young. I share your hope.

From what I understand from articles he was likely the source of all good things to her, food, clothes, the occasional very early morning trip to the park.. what could her mother give her?

It's a terrible situation. From 16 to 27 years old, and similarly for all three of them.

At least they were alive though. It's also terrible the woman's mother died three years after her disappearance and never knew.

The IRS will probably imprison them for not filing taxes, and tax them on the value of the lodging they received in exchange for services.

If this was Boston it would be used as an example for a conspiracy.

Can't have it both ways. I've seen plenty of threads where a phone call by a nosy neighbor and the police coming in was looked down upon.
